You guys are assuming they will even check.

If you don't say anything, they cannot check.
No you are just guessing.

I on the other hand, am a Sr. Mgr at a big Tech company and have hired and terminated, around 50 people. Not all I hired were terminated, only a few, but there were others I let go for cause.

There is no national data base of criminal record by name. Not legal, or there would be. It is state by state.

If you don't say anything they cannot check.

In CA, because we all know this, they can't even ask. If they can't ask they have nothing to check. And with this ruling, it means checking is not allowed, iac.

I know the process is nothing like a federal background check, which I had. The Q-clearance.

They interviewed my 5th grade teacher.

I know a guy said he had a degree and he did not. The check HR did, didn't uncover it. He slipped up and admitted it. He was not fired for lying. But I got him on the next layoff list.

I know my friend with a tarnished record like me, didn't list it, as I didn't, and he was hired by the County.

I know the State of CA cannot ask about a criminal record for a State employee. But, they can check if it is an asshole like you. You know? Instantly Unlikeable?

And I know for those with training and not an asshole like you, my company will only check what you put there.

You are surely one with almost no experience.. You provide no content, so you are worm like troll. Only a fragment.

I don't think background checks are not legal.

Snappy come back. The worm crawls.

I thought that might be possible.

Ok, so she works 30 hours a week. Getting warmer, but still not very hard working.
THATS ALL WE HAVE HERE ... no one gives fulltime

Whats wrong with having a couple jobs?

Did someone promise us a living wage on 30-40 hours a week somewhere?

If you are just sitting at home being broke and or bored, why not go out and find more work? We were short handed today, and no shit if someone had just come through and said they needed a day job as a general laborer, I could of had them going all damn day.

Guess I'll keep that hundo for myself, though, because I'm the mother fucker who's staying late playing catch up.

I have not read the whole thread so bear with me if I repeat what might have been said already.

You cannot SAVE for retirement. SAVING USED to work, but the gains were all due to compound interest. The banks don't pay interest to use your money anymore, most people now have to pay fees to use the bank, there is NO INTEREST. Putting cash in a mattress is pure folly due to inflation, its akin to throwing it to the wind.

You need to INVEST wisely for retirement. Equities are a roller coaster, long term bonds are better. Real Estate, Precious Metals, Productive land are a few other things that you should probably have when you decide to retire. THINGS of value cannot go to ZERO, paper can go to ZERO, but tangible goods that people will always need do not.

Might want to think about diversifying away from the dollar, its days are numbered. The BRICS are becoming their own powerhouse and have begun to withdraw from even needing US dollars. They are all trading with each other using their own currencies, bypassing the Dollar and the USA. They have setup their own international banks and banking systems outside SWIFT.
Markets go up and down, but rent is due on the 1st of every month.

Slum lord was my choice for investment.
