Why is it I hear endlessy about a plant closing when it is a union company from the right. But never about one that is non union that is closing?

For example.

My former boss is on our govenors web site talking about how The govenors policys have helped him and his business. He talks about how Walkers tax breaks and Anti Union legislation has helped him


Then the fucker closes down our plant for the stated reason of making MORE money

I dont hear anything from the right about this.

I am not sure what you mean. Plants start up and shut down all the time. Investors want to maximize their profit and will not keep it in non-producing companies. That doesnt have to do with union or non-union although union shops usually mean more overhead.

And what is wrong with wanting to make a profit and a continuously bigger profit?

When you claim the high ground in morality and then toss out 42 productive employees just so you can squeeze an extra penny that makes you an Amoral Sociopath

My former boss is one of those patriotic christian freedom loving Republicans.

He moved the plant up north where he can exploit the Hmong population living there in a scarce job area.

Probably because of the attitude of you ungrateful bastards...

What obligation did he have to support your lifestyle again???

If it was so easy, why didnt you just take those employees and create your own company and do it better, pay them better and do it all for free because we know that profit is bad and evil... Why not??

I figure he owed me because I made him literally millions of dollars during my tenure there.

As to starting my own company. Most 42 employees landed jobs before the shop even closed. In my case I was out of work for almost 3 days.
I now have a job that pays the same as what I was making there and it's .8 miles away from my house. I come home everyday for lunch

For those that didnt
Our wonderful Govenor imposed a 1 week no pay unemployment process.
meaning you dont get paid for the first week of unemployment. And now makes you jump thru additional hurdles to get the money.

All of us were offered new jobs at the other plant. Real tempting when it's only 3 hours north of here.

Did he not compensate you for your labour rendered as per the terms and conditions agreed on your contract?

And yeah he owed me since I wasted 2 years of my 70 year average lifespan under the impression that my employment was Quid Pro Quo

Did you build the building? Pay for the equipment? You chip in on the utilities? Personally deliver components to the buyer? Work up the weekly payroll? Pay for the insurance? No. You think just because you walk into a building and DO THE JOB you were PAID to do that somehow, miraculously, you are SOLELY responsible for "making HIM literally millions of dollars" in only 2 years. You are clueless.

The other funny thing is that he didnt actually take away your job as he offered you the ability to work for the company if you moved.

So essentially you are pissed at him for making you choose to move and work for the company or not..

Guess he is going to miss out on all those millions of dollars you were making him. Oh wait, he probably hired another machine operator. That one might actually show some appreciation for his job. He would likely do better with the company...

By the way, it was quid pro quo. You got paid to do your job. There was no promise of a partnership.

And the bottom line is there are Hmongs who obviously posses the same "skill and intelligence" that you do. That's gotta hurt.

I also question your accusation that he is exploiting the Hmongs. Do you have a citation? Have you personally spoken with any Hmongs who are feeling exploited by your former boss? Have any Hmongs experienced detrimental loss of quality of life because your former boss relocated HIS company? Or are you just assuming that the employer, who you were obviously happy working for, has now become a slave driver in Hmong country? Sounds like you need a diaper change.
