Well... I made some comments about, or better said against, sending testers prematurely (basically before it's finished) a week or so ago in the strain review forum so... we'd have to call them review freebies or trial versions (screeners?)
I learned a lot over the past year which also gives me idea for new breeding projects, so honestly I would like to get this one over with asap. It's unfortunately a process that's not suitable for rushing. At this point I'm still stabilizing the two lines I want to use to create the eventual hybrid I have in mind (which I will test too).
The CHxCH I'm growing out now is just breeding stock, the CH is one of DNA Genetics main strains sold as suitable for breeding (short flower time, barely 8 weeks) but no matter how many generations I take it further, and regardless of breeding in whorled phyllotaxy, it's not mine to share. It's also has a let's say "interesting" history. Two other large mj forums who have their own online seedshop thing going on supposedly banned them from the site because DNA genetics claims CH is mexican sativa x o haze but those sites say it's a C99 knock off. As you can read in a thread on this forum about one of those forums people got banned for just mentioning Cannalope Haze.
I keep a breeding journal with more detailed info about whorled phyllotaxy at one of those forums, and discussed it a little at the other, so I guess that's in the past now. I don't really know what the truth is (one of the CH phenos, the compact one, does look a lot like C99 though...). I like what DNA Genetics brings to the table and either way, I can't say I was in anyway disappointed hearing it's possibly a C99 cross or C99 itself. It's frosty, and finishes in about 8 weeks, and it's clearly stronger than average. It would however make it imo double-lame if it were a C99 knockoff and then I release a knock off of that knock off if you know what I mean.
I'll probably be making several crosses with both the P line (chunk x CH) and the CH-W line (cannalope haze whorled) once those are ready though. There are some clones being shared for many years in my area to supply a few coffeeshops, amongst the few I occasionally buy and smoke for some variation, and I received several offers of people wanting to send me clones and seeds so I hope ya'll still interest in screeners by the time I'm ready.
I'll post some pics to make up for all that text...
