I have a question that has probably already been asked and answered on here. I notice that several of the more expensive (non chinese) companies use panels that look exactly like chinese company lights, to the T. Eshine systems for example I can name a few companies that use the same exact looking lights. Well known companies too. Now are these companies just using chinese cases while using better parts inside or are they just drop shipping from china? Has anyone ever opened them up side by side? I'm fairly new to the LED scene and this is just one thing I noticed
They buy the parts from China and Taiwan and assemble here in the USA. God bless America lol

By the way, nice looking plants you got going there man. Do the Mars2 lights get really hot and have loud fans like Ive been hearing?
sorta warm be hot crazy hot and hell yeah sounds like a Fighter jet ready for war lol. Great results other than the noise and heat isn't an issue right now. I've moved on to making my own LED's now

It's hard not to have some China parts no matter what you have. Some are better than others, CREE has Chinese plants that build to CREE specs( do they really? ) I had a Chinese light from ebay that was impressive for a 300w light that only put out 88w's. I got 1/2 gram per watt with it. I looked inside and saw that it was quite cheaply made, a thin piece of aluminum for heat sink (about 1/16 inch, maybe). It didn't get too warm but I didn't trust it for long so on craigslist it went along with a pro grow 260 that was a real piece of junk.

My Chinese LEDs work just fine. In fact most LEDs are manufactured in China and repackaged at a huge markup. If you are doubting the spectrum do a little research and get the wavelengths you desire.Screenshot_2015-02-08-16-31-58.png

Leds are great, 5w chips run hot. I prefer 3w chips. My cheap "China junk" produces no heat just fat buds. If you can keep your heat down in the pc case with that light it's great for your application but I suspect you will be fighting high temps throughout your grow.

no one doubts that people can grow buds with the chinese panels. I started out with chinese panels and used the money I saved to upgrade, but it is not true that they put out no heat, and they have longevity issues.

What do you buy the American lie? All led's are made in china like the computer you're using right now. My Mars lights haven't failed yet and my first light was purchased Nov 3, 2013 and still working.
