Dont we all. Im not here to battle. I have to go work my skanks over for a bit. I just saw thatfirst post and went...wtf!? This guy is just bashing on a great bunch of people that do really good work. I mean check around. Pineapple fields is killing it in the reviews, even on riu.

Actually without inbreeding you are losing wanted genetics. some phenotypes will not be seen in f1s. You have to inbreed the line to lock in the wanted phenotypes and if they are recessive you will not see them till filial 2 eg white widow, williams wonder. If you do not inbreed lines with recessive mutations and breed f1 to f1 you will not see the recesive genetics in phenotype at all and will eventually breed them out. recessive genetics can do many things such as increase trichome production and size, increase yeild, produce certain aromas etc. it can also produce unwanted phenotypes but that is what selective breeding is about. locking in the wanted genetics and removing the unwanted. A stable f1 line means the breeder has inbred the line to lock in and consistently produce phenotypes in two seperate lines and has bred them to form an f1, which will hold these genes hidden inside them till f2 (The f1s are heterozygous for the wanted genetics). Thats why you see in some of bodhis seed descriptions he writes " f2ing this line will produce a treasure chest of genetics" because so many recessive genes have been stacked when they show in f2 it is only 1 in 4 seed will show the wanted phenotype and when there are 2 or 3 or more recessive phenotypes they will combine randomly throwing a multitude of different phenotypic expressions.

pollen chuckers are people who havent put the time in to inbreed their lines to lock in genetics and breed f1 to f1 producing possible heterozygotes which make it very hard to reproduce the expressions you want. if it is bred properly a strain should be taken to f3 at the minimum and f4 seeds tested to make sure the line is stable and producing the desired phenotype.
You know what the difference in a fem fem and a reg fem? Nothing at all, just myths people spread.There's no shortage of regular growers with good, stable genetics.
I'm no "professional" breeder but I have stable varietys from careful seed selection that is more than satisfactory. I've seen more bunk come from professionals that can't even guarantee fresh seeds for a hundred bucks.
I like the ability to try varieties that normally would be unattainable.
What I don't like is strains being offered only fem. I avoid those types completely normally.
Wasn't greenhouse one of the originators of that with their cheese, bubba, etc. You can have it but sorry you'll never be able to breed it. No thank you.
It could be a great topic. Start a new thread and introduce it correctly.
I always find it curious those that bash on fems, never grow fems so they wouldnt know.

Imagine if everything was fem...with sterile pollen if forced to herm (the next step)...growers lose the ability to breed and produce their own seed

Regulars herming the most...thats a new one to me. Been growing thirty years now and i have yet to grow a herm from regulars. Stop buying shitty seeds

You can breed with fems. You do need to induce hermaphrodism to do it with all subjects. But if you have enough seeds males do show up. There's no real difference one way or the other. If you're growing for females you're only interested in X anyway and X from both male and female parents is there in a feminized cross.I like feminized seeds too...

That said a lot of feminization practices are awful, so I wouldn't blame you for being careful in what you choose to breed.

is an attribute from slamming two genetics together. it certainly doesn't cover much of the criteria a cannabis breeder would be after. to use this as a hallmark of reasoning for why poly-hybrids are making cannabis better is kinda silly.

Even if your buying your dog for a good cause, a transaction still takes place for said dog... thus why I phrased it as "bought". Pretty simple.
You'll get it someday. Dont even have to be a doctor.
Until then, have fun making assumptions and picking apart peoples wording over any nuances you see.
