Don't use the crate for punishment. Makes them unwilling to go in.I find (loudly) telling them they are a "bad dog" is plenty.

she HATES the crate because the previous owners had her in there all the time. I just went to a site that recommended using it for potty training for time outs...I tried she freaked the fuck out. The crate is going into storage. Your are correct, my stern voice upsets her pretty good. Shes starting to get it tho...she gettin the fact she shouldnt poop in her/our den

Yes she's spayed . Its funny ...when she goes out and pee's, in a sweet voice i say "good girl, and she starts wagging her tail while peeing...When she hasnt seen me for a duration she runs at me full speed and crashes into me (knocked the wind outta me once). She is such a little blast furnace of heat I tell you..
She has a little bump on the tip of her ear...is it normal for them to have that?
