@doublejj what where the inmate demographics like when you where at Folsom as far as race? Is it any different today vs when you where working?
Folsom has gone thru many level changes since I started the in the early 80's. There were 165 stabbings & 9 inmate deaths the first year I started. It was Level 4 back then, there was no "New Folsom, or Pelican Bay"...Folsom was the worst of the worst. There were shots fired every day. Staff assault rate was 30% a year, you had a 1-3 chance of being assaulted every year.
Things improved after they opened the new Max Prisons....I don't want to even comment on what Old Folsom is today..

What was it like compared to a gang prison in El Salvador called Izalco? Sounds very risky as a job either way.

Just noticed your avatar. Based on it, you know what I'm about to say. A friend told me that while he was in Turkey in the Navy he bought hash and how they made it was they would get a lady nekkid and she would run through all the tall weed back and forth and then they would scrape the pollen off her and make the hash. Awesome!

LOL....I used to live in Turkey in my youth in the early 1960s'. My dad worked for the Air Force & we lived in a small town on the Black Sea. The area was a big agriculture zone, Tobacco, Opium, & Marijuana fields....miles & miles of them. The Turks are devout Muslim's ....I never saw any nekid ladies in the fields. Everyone I saw in the fields were covered from head to toe...

If there were more psychiatric prisons/ any left in Canada then it would be ok and he would go there.

But there isn't. And he's going to go to regular max ass-raping prison.

It's a shame really. There isn't enough help for the mentally ill.
No, it's a CRIME. And just because it's the state doing that crime doesn't make it any better. It sounds like you don't want any part of the fight for real justice for him. I'm sure you have your reasons, but all of us need to take responsibility for what our government does- that's the first step to accountability.

I guess we can have another edition of qwizo story time..
Gather round the fire and light some herb..

Alright well keep in mind this is in a poor, "ghetto" neighborhood run by mexican cartels...
So i "purchased" this trap house, it came with a couple people in it..lol..just follow along.. So i set up the back bedroom as a grow room. And they flipped drugs out and other illegal things.
Including stolen crap

We got raided for the burglary of habitation.. so this dude beatin on his pregnant woman and then hits their baby. That shit dont fly down here, and people dont call the law..soo we get a call that night she wants someone to hit him up, make him sick. Nothing too serious though. Anyway so bust in the backdoor bout 5am and clean house, closet, fridge everything. Cops surround, come in, no search warrant! Electrical tape over badge numbers etc..

That caused a deeper investigation. Over about the past year 7 convience stores and other places were robbed via shot gun.

Stay tuned for another edition..

Btw im in no way expressing guilt, or their guilt.. what would i know

Hey there fussy britches.

I'm just sharing part of my story.

From what I have said, you cannot infer my level of involvement in this matter.

Let me tell you, that he has refused help from myself and our mutual father.

I appreciate where you are coming from, but please don't make assumptions about me.

Thank you!

PS I'm in CANADA

My point is about everyone holding government accountable- and frankly, I think you Canadians would have an easier time of it than we Yanks. First, fire Harper, lol.

I figured there was more you didn't mention, that's why I said you likely have your reasons.

Therefore, I'm not making any assumptions about your actions regarding your brother's legal situation.

Yes, I danced right up to that line, but I didn't cross it!

I know you like to scrap a little - I'm just not really into arguing on the inter web. Too much GREY area and too many people speak in black and white.

But, the system is broken. I don't know how to fix it though. I know, first and foremost - Adolf Harper needs to GET THE FUCK OUT.

I really hope the Liberals or the NDP have a better plan for our prison systems, but I have not heard anyone discuss bringing back psychiatric hospitals. They got rid of most of those here in the 80's.

And wouldn't you know it - as soon as that happened the homeless population of Canada Skyrocketed and so did the amount of mentally challenged people in the PRISON SYSTEM.

Fucking tarded.

I tried to join a political party here. They just told me what I wanted to hear. Fuckers. hahaha

@Yessica... if you do manage to get your country straightened out, I'll come live there. I WAS born in Alberta, after all- I'm only American because of my parents.

Since it's relevant, I have a greater claim to the Presidency of the United States than current republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz. He was also born in Canada- and only one of his parents was an American. Near as I can tell from reading the Constitution (I actually do! I know that makes me pretty weird here), Mr. Cruz is NOT eligible to be President. He wasn't born on American soil. That makes us both ineligible.
