Are you sure about the 50 thing not able to hold DO? Not saying it's a good temp but I fill my res with well water and its never caused an issue. In the winter it's 45 and lots of trout streams I fish are below 50 as well.

No worries. Try and maintain your temps at 65 if you can.......otherwise get a aqua heater...stick the hoe in and figure out how many watts you need vs the size of your rez.....then sit back relax and say YEEEE!My bad self has no choice in the matter lol. I just plop the hose in and let her go. It does eventually warm up
Looks like you can get a 50w-300w aquarium heater for under $10 delivered if it gets too cold.
Right on, I'm sure exposing the water to air w/ sprayers like that is getting the temp up pretty quick. I also used zone in my rdwc system and it worked great while the roots were still in the pots. I would think it would work good in an aero environment. My temps were 65 deg.
Had a plant that rez got to 44 degrees and the plant was in a coma for 10+ days. I left the attic window cracked and forgot to close it a few years back.
Thanks, I think I'm good. I don't see my res getting below 62 degrees at its coldest. The lowest my rez has been so far is 66 degrees when the temp got down to 30 degrees at night outside... Like I said before I didn't have any problems growing with temps at 78 degrees in the summer. I was using the max dose of dutch masters root zone conditioner though.
