Does someone want to ban him? I don't know if its ignorance, lack of education, or just early 60's way of thinking.... Don't hate on others because they may be stupid or disabled, so they do not have what you have? Who doesn't want a house (SHELTER), food and a family?!
You are a vet. thats great you did your time, thats respectable. Whats not respectable is you coming on here demanding respect. For you to say something like the last sentence in your post is extremely degrading (and no I am not disabled or on disability at this time, I just do not appreciate bullies). You could have lost both your legs in the army... guess you would be sitting on your ass all day also wouldn't you? Don't bash others.

This is an awesome community with real, nice, helpful members. We do not need the negativity @Dexter.
I don't believe for a minute he was in the service...he has zero credibility...if he was they must be glad he's gone. Probably discharged for asshole-ism.

LOL...if you were getting shot at for your country, you might feel some entitlement too..
People get shot at who aren't soldiers brother. Lost a couple of people that way.

My grandfather, 3 uncles and brother in law are (we're) all frontline soldiers and they don't act like jackasses.

If you do good things but have an attitude such as "Hey! Hey! Everyone look what I did! Over here! Hey!" Who are you really doing it for?

Not to mention, people aren't getting drafted. You choose the military as a career, I think you should expect the things that come along with it aka getting shot at. I'm not shitting on our forces, most of them are brave men and women and they do deserve to be recognized. But dexsters attitude is disgusting.

really? wow LOL yes they do, plenty of doctors and nurses are subjected to violence at work.
and social services are indanger plenty of times when they make house calls to violent offenders.
emergency service responders go into blazing buildings and car wrecks to save peoples lives...
The gov itself isn't very thankful...actually not thankful AT All for services rendered for them. I know....been there. Not even a gold watch. lol

There's no other profession in the world were getting shot at is to be expected daily. A battlefield is the most dangerous work place...period.

Not condoning being a jackass just saying if anyone deserves some slack for being one...

I don't want you to feel like I'm targeting you, but i can not stand this way of thinking.... Yes there may be a higher crime rate in "the hood", resulting in a greater chance of you being subjected to such crimes... however not everyone can dictate where they live. Some people can not afford to move, others depend on people around them, and there are many other circumstances that should be considered.

Ps. The government/politicians and recruiters that ask young men to join the army, themselves would .n.e.v.e.r. send their own children/family to the army. ... I wonder why. (There was a documentary on this).

Police officers? Security guards? Armoured car drivers?

Clearly war zones are the most violent but are not the only dangerous places to be.

Although these jobs can be very high risk and dangerous, there is a very high percentage (something like 75%+) of officers that never fire their gun in their entire career. Most incidents are isolated/rare occurrences.
Thats not to say they are not dangerous. Paramedic suicides/ptsd is at an a high and they are not receiving the proper care/help they deserve (just as army/vet.s do not receive adequate aid post op.)

Hey dex I showed a couple real vets what you posted and they would love to meet ya. I believe one said in a dark alley maybe they want to give you a metal for your wonderful view point on the disabled seeing as one is disabled from actual action!!!

and most of those people don't act like him...they are decent human beings.
not all can serve....even if we are mostly able bodied...or appear that way
you don't have to come on a forum like this and act like that. it's low class all the way....bad representation of the good ones...and there are many!

Dexster was never part of the military. He is just trolling looking to get a response. He smokes weed and runs to his play station to play COD. Simply put, he is a lazy kid playing pretend who probably trys too hard at life and still has nothing going for him. Everyone should see him for what he is.... a troll and a rather ineffective one at that. The only gun he ever held was filled with water and more than likely still hurt himself.

Back to the subject, I am very surprised that the RCMP are pushing this. They always seem to be behind on community policing. In my area they lack they ability to communicate with the public and seem to really have an attitude problem. I feel bad for those who have been arrested but there is risk involved in this...

RCMP is a corrupt federal organization that is trying desperately to hold on to the way things used to be. Marijuana enforcement was a huge cash cow for them, there's bound to be a few pissed off members of the old guard who are just trying to lash out and hurt someone on their way down.
