Why do conservatives tend to hate rap?

The rap bands and their sycophants have done a lot of damage to the character of this country, especially when it comes to respect for authority, for cops, for women, etc. They're all a bunch of losers.

The marketed, canned excuse for music today is a joke and boring.

The music of the 60's & 70's is/was hard to beat. Many of those artists are still going strong.

Americana and others that show true talent and real soul is my brand of music - Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Steve Earl, Rosie Flores, Guy Clark, Buddy Miller, Bonnie Raitt, Keb Mo, Brian Wilson, Rosanne Cash, Robert Plant, Willie Nelson....guitar afficinados like Clapton, John Bonamassa, Joe Satriani, John Mayer, Lindsay Buckingham, Keith Urban........

are you kidding me? Elvis and his pelvis did more damage to the morals of this country than rap ever has. Girls orgasmed at his shows for Christsakes!!

You're not a fan, and that's totally cool, but to say he sucks isn't very fitting. Clearly he doesn't suck, he's sold more albums than most people on the planet. Ever.
If Jay z had come up with the idea of creating some low quality headphones marketed at children he would almost be as wealthy and successful as Dr Dre.

"White is right", huh?

Look at all those white rappers.........Blacks like it because it is violent and profanity filled. When half the Black youth population wants to grow up and be Biggie, Fifty, West or any gangsta rap guy, ...their future is small, and jail is just a matter of time.
Crime, guns and rape are in their words, kids will follow. Black culture refined to modern day, and they like it.

Bach ain't generally hummed in the hood, either. Different cultures - different preferences. Duh.

In other words, big fucking deal.

Dr Dre is worth $810 million most of which came from the headphones not his musical talents.
Jay z is worth around $150 million less than Dr Dre
Jay z would need his wife to win this battle that is for certain.
