about 2 ml a gallon. or for 50 gallon I use 90 ml, 1 day after rez change and generally don't need it til the next rez change . I might only change my rez twice in a run (vegg/flower) unless Im having some type of issue . I only add it if I smell the rez starting to get funny otherwise.

I hear that dude! I used to run ac in the winter in ny when needed, it was a waste but there was no exhaust I could add without cutting a hole through the side of the house lol. I really want DE, I want them now but I don't want to have to change everything if I end up moving soon :( that 4x6 footprint is just bad ass, like adding a 600w next to a 1000w or something! I really want to run a heater in flower because it's been so cold here, I hit 59 last night in flower room and can't get above 70 in veg until the central heat turns on at midnight, it's been too damn cold this year! Last year made me spoiled with the weather, was rooting cuts in 5 days and now it's taking 14! I hope next year is a bit more mild
If you're running a passive intake try and get a variac on your exhaust fan. You can probably raise the temps like that. With lights off I cut my fans down to like 60% speed and it raised my night temps like 10 deg.

From my experience once plants are established they can handle low temps during veg/flower. Like mid fifties and have no issue.

Yeah dude! Thats getting pretty cold during lights out bro. Prob retard the grow a little.
I have an extra day/night temp switch rite now. Wanna borrow that and put a heater on it? Gottta do what you gotta do sometimes. If that dehu doesn't need to come on much(which it's really dry up here in the winter told ya)during lights out, it's gonna get cold in there especially with that cracked open door as the passive intake straight up. And then the dehu won't work when it actually needs to because it's too cold. Viscous circle. Lemme know

right on, that's awesome to know. I wasn't quite sure how much to use or how long it lasted, the label says 2ml but I figured I'd need to add more back, this will save me a bunch of hydroguard

I have a day/night temp controller, so the exhaust only comes on if it's 80 degrees lights on and over 68 lights off, but it doesn't run at all if it's colder than 68. It sucks!

right on dude, I'd say yeah but I have to get another heater. I might look into another similar heater like the one I have in veg that has the thermostat, but I'm really hoping the weather gets a bit warmer soon so I can skip that for now. Next week is supposed to be in the 50s and then it'll be fine, it's just when the day time temp doesn't get over 45 the temp in the flower room gets too cold . Definitely a vicious cycle!

Why not run your exhaust 24/7 to keep fresh air coming in. Then use the variac to control the speed of the fans at night/day? I would imagine if your fans are hooked to a carbon filter and they're off its gotta be smelling up the house/area?

I use these, they kick ass. Thermostat control so you can set the temp from 60-80 and they oscillate. Only down fall is they use a lot of electric, 800-1500w I think, depending on the temp you set it at.

I can't because my intake air is passive and it's fresh outside air, so it would be 30 degrees in there unfortunatly. It does stink in the winter lol. In the summer it's on 24/7 with a/c

I do the same thing. I have the air coming from outside and slow my fans down at night. Temps are like 63ish. The outside air is 30-40 deg at its coldest.

I wish I could run it even a little at lights off, i have a speed controller somewhere, but I'm at 61 lights out with no air and a dehu running 24/7 adding heat. Next week I think the exhaust will run more as it's warming up, I've been thinking about getting a big carbon scrubber that just cleans the room and doesn't exhaust, right now I have 2 filters but they both are on the temp controller

Ah If you're at 61 deg with lights off I don't see any issues. I've had plants in flower at 55-60 deg for 10 weeks straight and they didn't yield considerably less or more than summer time lights off temps in the upper 60s lower 70s.

I don't use allot of heaters so no recommendation here.
I agree that low 60's at night usually aren't going to be a problem, but he's saying it hit 59 and i'm afraid the coldest is yet to come. Snow hasn't even stuck on the ground yet where we are. He's at like 2600 ft elevation, i'm just a little under him. We always get snow. And this is supposed to be a big winter.
@AlphaPhase
I'm afraid that if it gets any colder in there, that the dehu won't work. Dehus don't work well at all in the cold. And if that happens it will get even colder in there. Cold cold cold. Too cold nute solution in reservoirs etc. Even though your landlord will thank you, and I thank you for not needing to patch a hole in the wall when you end up moving, the way the room gets it's intake through the cracked door unfortunately means cold air is gonna get in right now.
Good thing smell don't matter much where you live, because I smell bud everytime I park in your driveway because of that damn door:-D
I have a heater you can borrow too. We'll figure it out. I'm at the other pad chopping that small 4 light room down.

I have more pics but RIU is still being a bitch apparently

Right on dude, we'll definitely figure something out, a heater would probably be best if it gets any colder that's for sure, I'm at 64 degrees in there today so not too bad. Lookin Hella nice in there dude, those filled out nice! Is that 9 per?

15 plants each side in a 4X8 and a 4X4 tray. 2 DE's lighting up each side.

Under 500 all day long now. The nanolux is even cheaper, but you know how partial I am to these phantom DE hoods:-)
Think I'm gonna have to get a couple real soon man, they just fill out so nice! I've been thinking of switching all to f/d trays soon too, so much less work than the buckets I just dunno how big I can grow em in a tray of hydroton

Wow some bad a $$ grows in here. My mentor that showed me the ropes on growing was doing GG not sure what phenom he had but it was bomb, easy to grow and vigorous. I was going to get some cuttings from him but he unexpectedly moved to cali.

Right on, he was probably growing the clone only cut, just one pheno, or an s1 seed form. It is some fire! Bummer he moved before ya got some cuts of it
