Hey bro i'm running 630w of LEC in my 5x5 hydro and at least for a 5x5 2x LEC315 is not quite enough light.

In your 4x4 it might be awesome, but I suggest you have like 3-4 tops per plant and flower them kinda early.

Also, they make like no heat so don't be afriad to add more light.

But I love the LECs so i'm gonna watch this thread closely!

my tent stays like 63f with lights on o:

Also back on my first LEC run I got light bleaching cuz it was only like 10" from my tops, and that was just with 1 LEC. Theres a perfect height but if u get em too close; even if heat isnt an issue u might run into bleaching.

How is your tent so cool? 63f is to cold imo. I would like to get it cooler in there for flower. I have a 6inch inline hooked up through the filter running about 60% on the speed controller. Temp stays around 82°f. I have 16in clip fan and will probably get one more. The two bottom passive airflow flaps are open. It's 66°f inside the room. If need be i can open the window to get fresh cold air in the room.
I topped a few times and have multiple tops on most of the girls, plus some lst'ing.

Simply winter temps hah. I agree its too cool, makes me wish i didnt drop $400 on a water chiller.

Its in a room with a veg tent and a 1000w hps tent, the 1000w hps stays like 69f. I'll prob add more light to my 5x5 with my LEC cuz like i said, 2x sun system LEC315 is just not quite enough light for a 5x5.

It gets hella cold where I am in the winter. On the bright side all my nugs this winter are pretty damn purple hah

They look super wilty in ur first pic. Were they like that before? Healthy clones that age wouldn't wilt on a transplant. Were they bone dry?
I could of over watered. I put this in 5gal bags. I'm used to small plastic containers. I moved the soil around the surface around and under was pretty moist. I have those acu-temp thermometers in there humity was around 26% so i put a humidifier in there this morning.

You are the first I'm the 2nd on these ... Don't let those chocolopes get to big . I grew one out and she stretched 3x . I got my lec running one side running 315 about 20 inches away . . I'm going from area51 LEDs to the 630 w . I'm gonna leave one rw-150 led in the tent with it for a total of 785watts flowering with 5 CSI humboldt purple snow ( humboldt snow X purple urkel and one Golden Coast Genetics orange chicken ( mandarin indica X abusive OG ). The ppf readings seen a little low for the 630w. Anyhow I excited .

I got 2 acurite thermometers in there and the heat and humidity are way different on them??
These are pretty accurate, If you don't mind spending a couple of bucks, I use these La Crosse RF based temp/RH sensors that I can access from a phone, tablet, computer. It also sends you alerts when you set minimum/maximum thresholds for temps and RH. They record up to 2 weeks at a time of readings which you can download in .csv format. Great for dialing in rooms/tents, amazing how much they fluctuate with the seasons considering it's indoor. They're about $100 for the first controller and sensor combo, then $69 for each additional sensor, you can put up to 5 sensors per controller. I've had a couple of them for 3 years and still going strong, just replace a battery once/year.

Thats pretty badass. I might have to look into that. Do you need multiple sensors for 1 tent? You 1 for each will do?

They're handy tools, you see exactly what happens to the environment when you make a change. I have mine set to record a reading every 15 minutes. You just need one of the controller combo which gives you a sensor, that'll do one room/tent. If you wanted say to put another in a veg tent you'd just buy a second sensor for $69.

sounds like a nice set up, but if your in your room at least once a day to check ph,ec, temps, etc.. i have a thermometer that gives the hi and lo temp every 24 hours or till i reset it wich is usually daily..but that set up would kick ass if on vacation or somthing.. wright now i plan to invest in a cob to do some comparisons..

Yeah I don't necessarily go into the room unless they need watering, but I have multiple rooms and they all need watering on-going. It's just one less thing to worry about for me and travelling I can keep an eye on what's going on. Use the cameras for that too. Gotta prioritize though, COBs will be a good investment for sure. I like the quality of COB buds.

Yeah. If you have an automated system thats cool. I would probably be checking it all day unable to anything about it if something was off.

looks good. I prefer cobs but ill keep an eye out see how it goes maybe you can pull some serious weight.
I'm going for quality first and weight second. I wanted to have more plants in there, and two don't look to hot. We'll see. I'm still tring to hone my grow skills so i can have a run without some crazy shit popping up. I was just running a small tent. Harvest pics comming Sunday. I used to have a duel 400w hood and ballast that i used for a few runs in a closet. That thing just put off soo much heat and took alot of power.
