Do you have data sheets that you are basing you opinion upon?CAN700 is done
Next will be Citizen or Prolight, seems they can kick some Cree ass.

The lower the temp the higher the lumens. I would add a couple fans and sleep well knowing that if they ever fail it won't be a problem.I'm running at 83* F or 28* C with passive cooling, would you guys add fans? View attachment 3654367 View attachment 3654368
Thanks, these are 140mm. Not cooliance . Tested for 500+hrs, Tambient around 70F-76F, Vero 29 Tcase stays around 51C-55C.hi @robincnn ,are these the cooliance 160mm ?
How hot does Tc gets after a while ?
It seems the 1.4a driver is puling 1.5 amps at max setting ?
thanx, it looks very nice and cool
For non anodized heatsink, put a black tape or use black sharpie on measuring spot, otherwise lower reading due to low emmisivity of non anodized Al.I'm running at 83* F or 28* C with passive cooling,
I thought that was because of reflection of the IR sensing beam ?For non anodized heatsink, put a black tape or use black sharpie on measuring spot, otherwise lower reading due to low emmisivity of non anodized Al.
I think you are right.I thought that was because of reflection of the IR sensing beam?.
I should get one of those for "hands off" testing (my k probe is too big for the temp point on the cob so I poke manually)I think you are right.
Ir thermometer with option for probe. Sounds good
I have been using a this 2 channel

thanks, I usewhat are running?, nice setup BTW
holy shit dudeill post this here too, cuz im pretty proud of how its turning out. its still in progress, but should be functional very soon.
what you are looking at is a 4 axis light mover for 32 (soon to be 40) cxb3590 @1050ma. Z axis is controlled by a harbor freight wench ($79) plus some pulleys.
the x axis will be controlled by a "Scotch and Yoke" mechanism. and the Y axis is still in the brain storm stage. the 4th axis is a tilt axis handled by some $10 lazy susans from lowes. Im thinking tiny linear actuator for this unnecessary axis. but 4 is better than 3 right.

Looks like a de-humidifier but I could very well be wrongWhat is the big machine between and under the tables?
energy efficient dehueyWhat is the big machine between and under the tables?
My $349 Kenmore dehuey looks like a baby next to that thing
