11 days later and the clones have taken to their new homes - I'm so happy about it. This is now officially my first clone grow, and these clones are taken from a mother which is a cutting/clone from my first seed grow (the previous pages of this thread.) :D

I wasn't going to journal this, but I think it helps feed my interest in growing, or maybe I just feel like a proud daddy... Anyway, since I'm probably going to post the odd picture, I'll just keep it in my original thread. Here's the info up until now:

Five cuttings were taken and they all lived, though I believed I had lost one at one point. I used Growth Technology(GT) CloneX on the cuttings and soaked the rockwool cubes in RO water with GT Clonex Clone Solution(CCS) in it. They went under a dome and that went under 48w from T5's, for ten days to two weeks - I forget... Stoner memory.

From there, they were moved into the hydro system pictured below, under a MH bulb with the ballast set to 400w. At this stage the rez water is RO, with Dutch Master(DM) Advance A/B in it at 350PPM and a pH of 5.8.

Ten days later I swapped out the rez with fresh RO water and added DM Zone, Silica and Advance A/B. PPH is 500 and the pH set to 5.8. I've also set the ballast to 600w, now. The photo attached is how it looks :)

Seems to be coming along nicely. I haven't grown clones before so I'm not used to the alternate/uneven nodes, so I wasn't sure if I should top them. I've left them alone, and in the last few days the side branches have really started to reach out... So, I might just leave them and manage it all with the a screen.

What do you think, to top or not to top?

That's what I was leaning towards. I had success with topping on the last/first grow but I want to try something else, too. Thanks!

They're now 20 days old, and I feel that they're doing well :)
10 days under 400w
10 under 600w
PPM raised to 700, as of today
pH 5.9~6.1

I've had a busy week, well, a busy six days, so I haven't had the time to do anything regarding LST or a SCROG... But man if it hasn't doubled in size in that time! Part of me wants to let them grow oh naturale, just to see the different between that and the first grow. I was so happy with the first grow, that I also suppose I should stick with a SCROG because it worked. It's not too late to squish it down a bit with a screen and grow it out, is it?

Looking great brother ... wow did they explode in growth in those 6 days ..... good to see n compare the different techniques with the same strain ... ya get to know yoir strain better this way ... btw watch out for the stretch phase and your vertical clearance ... liberty haze smokes amazingly... ya know what ... maybe ill start my morning puffing on it .... cheers bro

Hey Dr, nice to see you, mate! I hope the LH started your day right :) I still have plenty of LH left, I just miss growing, wanted to try glowing clones and wanted to build a new system with some ideas I had... It's honestly the best weed I've ever smoked :D I feel so much more confident this time.

One thing, though, did you SCROG your LH? I ask because, previously, I used filling the screen as my guide for low long to veg the plants. Since I'm not going to use a screen, this time, I don't know how long to keep them in veg. Especially when they're growing so fast!

Any help would be great, from anyone :)

Hey dude ... i did grow it without a scrog and it shoots up when ya flup to 3x the height ... dont veg it too long or if ya do, make sure you top and train the plant .... it will at least triple in size

Also make sure you have enough of a clearance between your light source and the girls ..... make sure youchave enough vertical clearance that even after the girls triple in height that tou still have enough clearance from the light lets say around 18 inches for the 600w n more obviously for more wattage ;)

Hey Doc!
I was thinking about flipping them this weekend, and after what you've said I definitely will! I'll have to do a little training if they're going to triple in size, which I was going to do by stringing up my screen at every second or third tie-on point. That'll make the squares about 10cm or so wide. I was just going to use it to move things a little wider, to allow for more light, but not a full SCROG... just spread it out a little. Will that be enough?

Actually, when the light goes off today I'll set the timer to 12/12. I'll fit the screen later today. I'll keep the MH bulb in there for another couple of weeks, as I did last time, and I'm going to keep feeding them the veg nutes as you suggested, to try keep the stretch down. Any other tips/suggestions, bro?

In the three days since the last picture it's filled out quite a lot (i think?) and the pictures don't do it justice.

Girls look amazing bro .... Yes go ahead and flip. You can use the screen like you said for training them and not really as a scrog. That would work good for your advantage. Also just like you said, keep the MH bulb until they stop stretching. And keep the veg nutes during tha stretch period to support the accelerated growth.
Wow dude you know you're going to have a real jungle in there soon ;-)

I have to say, now that I've taken the time to thread the screen and fit it - I want to fill it out! Haha. I did leave the light off for 12 hours last night, so I feel it's no problem to go back to 18/6 as the plants will just consider it a cloudy day, hopefully.

It's all your fault, after what you said about it stretching, and from what I remember of the last grow, I'm worried about the center colas shooting for the stars... I'll post up some pictures but once I fitted the screen, I really feel I should give it another week or two :)
