No additions but the large water volilume makes your temps more consistent even with evaporation/use as evaporation barely dents the water level, I could go a month without even checking water level where on my small one I can't do that because evaporation will significantly lower water level, increasing temp from the heater, and then causing algae. Not a biggy but if you have the space a larger cloner makes for less need to check on it. That said I'm running about 20 sites in a 2 gal and it's fine so long as I keep an eye on water level.did you ever ph the water? i get 100% without adding anything. hell i use straight out the tap... aerocloners bow down... now what am i going to do with my 2 manifolds that i made to gp in aero cloners.. the roots seem stronger in bubbles as well.
How much did it cost? How big of an air pump? Give it 5 more days and u will see more root. Some strains seem to take longer. Maybe the stem makes a difference how soft it is? Enough time and temp i forgot about that 75 to 80. They will rootI bought a already together bubble cloner kit from a local hydro shop. Holds 9 2" net pots came with the air pump and a small air stone. I took clones all the same day and dropped them in the cloner ph7.0 water at room temp. The only one to show any real signs of root development was the one directly above the stone receiving all the bubbles. Took 8 days. All the rest had no signs yet. I went out today and bought some diff air stones to spread bubbles more evenly throughout. Hopefully that will kickstaty the rest. So i know for sure that the air bubble stimulation on the stem does increase rooting speed.
(Ignore 2nd stem in pic its a cutting i took a couple days ago and just dropped in there)View attachment 3655137
Lol that was a few weeks ago. I cloned 11. Roots took off fine. I used plain tap water ph 7.0 no nutes. Room temp. I had to modify my air stone i think the bubbles help so i added 2 long stones. The entire set up cost me $30 at a local hydro shop. The air pump is for a 5-10gal tank. Plenty of air. You can build a diy set up for less than 30 but it came with net pots and root plugs. Im tired of diy at this point lol. I just want to buy it and plug it in. If you want more info or pics of my set up let me know. How much did it cost? How big of an air pump? I switched from an aero cloner to how you're doing it not long ago. Lost a few batches of clones to power outages, so I said fuck the aero cloner.I get close to 100% with a heat pad, dome, and rapid rooters. It's not a bad system; just takes a little practice.
Got a pic? I've never seen em turn brown.I switched from an aero cloner to how you're doing it not long ago. Lost a few batches of clones to power outages, so I said fuck the aero cloner.
I was only getting about 50% of my clones to root though with the trays, so I went and picked up a dome and heating pad per someone else's advice. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, because these cuts are looking terrible. They're almost turning brown. Not a crispy brown, but a soggy wilting look to them. Almost like they're rotting or something. Wtf??
This is noob shit that I shouldn't be struggling with after 15 years of growing herb! lol

Actually, I unknowingly took some cuts that had mites last year & they did what you're describing.
I can snap a pic in a bit. They're real pale green with brown towards the edges of the leaves. They look awful!I'm doing a clone run right now. So far, so good.
Gotta keep your heat pad on concrete while your dome vents are shut. (week 1) Otherwise, you'll overheat. Wood is bad. Insulates way too good.
