You're not familiar with me are you?

I've been back to 100% organic - water only soils for about 5 years now.
I do my own EWC.
I compost my own (I run a 4 farm organic co-op. NO shortage of compost and do Tea's in Vortex brewer's on field level scales!

As far as MM, I've doing it for decades...

NO, not really. When I played with synthetic's (they do work well - you need to find the proper ways to use), I never really spend all that much more by feeding the last 2 weeks.
You must remember that those last 2 week's are 2 of the most critical weeks in the plants bud development! The "BULKING" phase! Not a good time to remove or even reduce the available nutrient levels!
In plenty of years trying different things....reducing of available nutrient levels = reduced ability of plant to reach potential's!
For me, it isnt the last 2 weeks, it is the 2 weeks prior to the last week. I always go just about a week after the bud swell stops unless it is a pure sativa.

Nope dont know anything about you, but i do know ive put in a lot of work my self in the last five years and have used it all from GH to Vegamartrix all the additives on the market indoors and out and have done a lot of side by sides. like i said the way i grow now i do not do a so called flush and my plants will naturally fade and drop a few big fan leafs the last week or two of life, still averageing well over a gram a watt and my smoke leaves some of the whites ash ive ever seen. i just pulled some of the most fire gelato and yielded 3000 grams under 2 1000s with 12 plants in a little over 3 1/2 months. as far as chems go the few runs i feed up to the few days be for harvest and kept my plants mostly green with little to no fade the smoke was just not right and it did nothing for my average yields . as far as curing goes ive always dried in a room with temps at 75- 78 humidity around 30 for 5 days and aired out at lest ounce a day then in to brown paper bags for a two or three days mixed up well ounce a day then zip block bags for around a month burped twice maybe three times then into jars or vacuum packed so i dont think that was a problem with it...

Sound's good to me.

We all learn in one way or another. Keeping an open mind and trying different things is the way of life and learning.
I cure for 2 month's.
I dry a bit faster then in a 75% area BUT, you didn't say you dried in that either.

Humidity is way too low for drying.

You lost smell because you dried them too quick.

The buds dried but the stems stayed full of water. Your buds had no moisture going into cure. They can't break down remaining sugars if they're dry.

30H for 5 days is too fast. You should want 50-60H for 7-10 days, otherwise your buds will be crunchy on the outside and wet in the middle, and they won't cure properly.

You need to extend your dry times to at least 7 days or more. Up the humidity so buds AND stems dry uniformly. Buds should feel dry but still be slightly "spungy" when you squeeze them.

When you squeeze a bud, it should fluff back to it's normal shape and have hardness to it, if it compresses and stays compressed, it's way too wet for curing.

If you squeeze a bud and it's "crunchy" and crystals fall right off the bud, you over dried it.

lol yes for sure we all learn and grow in different ways and there is no bad way to grow!! :bigjoint:

what do you mean 75 % area??

my buds dont get super crunchy and they do dry for 7 to 8 days befor they go in to a zip block like i said 5 days hanging 2 or 3 in a brown paper bag witch helps bring a little more moister out of the stems and middles with out drying the outsides out

That is incorrect. There's many bad ways of growing.

If there was no bad way of growing, this website would not exist.
you are taking what i said out of contexts i mean we all have are ways of growing good cannabis but that dosnt mean ones way of growing good cannabis is better then another's way of growing good cannabis we all do it a bit different.

ill use you as an example i dire my bud different then you so you assume its not done right but in retrospect my cannabis gets a really nice cure to it and i get 3200 a pound for my cookies all day long from dispensary in the bay haven't solid any of the gelato yet but im sure itll get the same it dosnt mean my way or your way is any better as long as the end product smokes good right??.... ill get back to the fleshing thing its not the way i would do things but that dosnt mean good cannabis is not produced like that even if i made it seem like that in my debate and no matter how much i dont believe in it

Anyway...so my experiment days are over...back to Moby Dick feminized..best yield, best frostiness and overall best plant I found....
and somebody assumed that I didn't use the Zyme in my grow because I didn't mention it..yes I did +rhizotonic + green mystic humic+ diamond black humus.....but the suspicion was about the AN Overdrive finishing instead of the regular PK 13/14...so can somebody verify my theory of Overdrive messing with the natural ripening and maturing process and by that causing lesser resin production and crap bud...they where smelling like buds until I started using Overdive...yep they swelled up nicely but the smell was gone + resin production wasn't no where near to produce desired frostiness....so I was trying to fix it with last 2,5 week before chop added Bud Factor X ...but no mucho diferencia....got to add to my next grow a mixture what I'we got from Doctor Who for the resin production
so I am not going to switch now after this bad experience to AN as I was originally planned to try...now its just good old Canna Coco A+B I am using it to my hydros also even I am not using coco as base...it worked great there too...I think one reason is the extra calcium added to it (because of coco's feature of absorbing calcium)..anyway the water I am using is quite soft so the extra calcium works great with it...

Molasses? You supplement with molasses? Oh please tell me why?

If your using a AACT tea - the idea that you use molasses to "feed" the microheard is moot! Your adding heard at every use..
Molasses does little and other things work better for what you use it for....Molasses tends to compact soil and can cause fermentation in the soil - bad thing...

Use molasses to make your tea's and leave the rest of it for baking and BBQ sauce- The "old school" hippie trick of molasses in feeding - is for the most part, A MYTH!
Gotta strongly disagree with you, Doc. Blackstrap 100% works. AACT does, too, but molasses is DEFINITELY not a myth.

Why, considering what molasses is made of, and considering how organics work, and furthermore being as intelligent as I know you are--Why would you think molasses is a myth?

If rhizobacillus breaks down meat, bone, and other things into their basic elements in a form that the roots take up, and there is 600-800mg of potassium, tons if sugars, carbs--If all of that is clearly available in a single tablespoon of molasses for organic breakdown and we know what those things do to a plant, why are you saying such foolish things like "molasses is a myth?" It doesn't make any sense.

Sounds like you let them go to long, degredation happened to me recently when i went 10'days past peak with a kush varient.

There could be many unseen variables from lunar to outside temps, and drying technique as stated.

Dry or wet trim?

Next time trim only fans and hang them longer. Trim the sugar leaves around day 5 of hanging them up. The less you trim while it dries the longer it will take to dry. You also won't get the smell of releasing chlorophyll, aka "fresh cut grass".

i thought it was funny he said molasses can cause fermenting any thing that has a high sugar content can cause fermenting...

i just pull fan leafs hang dry with sugar leafs and a few bigger leafs, on day 5 when i put into the the brown bags a do a slight trim then when they go into the zip blocks they get cleaned up.
