image.jpg Some of the Phatt Fruity. This was the densest stuff, nice tight buds. Heavily indica plant. Starting to develope a nice scent, but not too overpowering. Tastes great.

image.jpg image.jpg The skunk #11 with and without flash. Very light fluffy buds, and I overdried them a bit unfortunately. Not too bad though. Great flavor, the best in the bunch. Smells strongly, very sweet and fruity. Again, smokes great. No burn on any of these plants. The longer than expected flush due to a poorly timed trip paid off

image.jpg image.jpg The white lavender with and without flash. Nicely formed buds. Denser than the skunk 11 but lighter than the Phatt Fruity for sure. Smokes nice. Flavor and scent are pretty mild, but it's the only one that didn't end up in a glass jar to cure. Got stuck in a plastic jar instead... Maybe that has something to do with it? Love the high from this, very upbeat. Nice sativa

Final Yields:

5.8g popcorn bud salad from all plants
34.5g skunk #11
54g Phatt fruity (26g per plants)
40g white lavender
3.5g skunk/NL

Total yield 137.8g on five plants, or 4.92oz.

This is definitely better than I expected to do given 154w (only 140w of which were in there for much of the time, I added on later) of LED. Especially in a cramped 2x2 tent. And ESPECIALLY given my amateur growing skills.

That's .8948g per watt on a cheap LED (not including the fact that some of those watts weren't added until later in the grow!!

*sounds of the LED haters on the forum weeping*

Given, I did have a long 2 month veg period and a full 10-week-to-the-day long flower period. Either way, this is proof that you don't need to spend hundreds on name brand LED's to get growing. I'm sure hey have an edge on the cheap ones, but if you aren't planning on growing constantly for a while, why make the upfront investment?

Very impressed with this cheap LED from Amazon. I don't regret the purchase at all - when I bought the gear I wasn't sure if I would get more than one grow out of it so I wanted it to pay for itself on the first grow. It did that and then plenty more. Around here I buy a half ounce for an average of $125 depending on quality. That means I'll save about $1,230 on smoke with this grow. I only spent $397 on all of the supplies for this grow. This grow didn't affect the electric bill too much either.

Overall, all of the bud smokes great. Very clean, well flushed. The Skunk 11 has by far the best flavor and smell. Will definitely grow again if I can figure out how to pay the attitude seedbank for seeds.... They haven't been able to take a credit card online for months now. The Phatt Fruity is nice, but the White Lavender is my second favorite. Great Sativa high - favorite of the grow in that sense.

To sum it up, go buy an LED! I know that HID's do a great job, but for me it would have been too much heat in my 2x2x4 tent.

Thanks for watching everyone. Hope to be growing again in the next few weeks, but I need to figure out to get these seeds I ordered from attitude!

Just bought two LEDs on Amazon...one was a Galaxyhydro and the other Transwift. GET A KILLAWATT watt meter is all I can say. The Transwift pulled less than 80 watts while calling itself a 300 watt. Sent the 80 watt back and bought a second Galaxy...this one is also a 300 but it also comes with a dimmer switch for the same price. I noticed in several pictures..(nice grow by the way) that a small area was not purple and was wondering if you can do that with a flashlight or what? August is the peak of spider mite season and spotting those little bastards would be difficult to spot with the pink light. My old t5 can beat back the pink but need something a little more portable.

Hey Redzi, thanks man. Ya, the wattage thing was something I knew coming in. This one is a "300w", but based on online research/manufacturer specs it sounds like it actually pushes 138-142w. I just couldn't justify buying a meter though, since I already had a pretty good idea of what the power consumption was from others wih meters. I think these pictures with less purple areas are on account of the camera flash. I would occasionally turn the LED lights off to look for issues with the plants, too. Probably easier on the eyes than using a flashlight to mask the purple. Do you have a grow going now?

$149 for a 450w that draws 206. $99 for a 300w that draws about 50-60%. I have one already and a second one coming tomorrow.
That 450w looks a lot of a Mars Hydro Reflector 96, in it's build and draw. Not meant as a dig toward them at all. I was kicking around the idea of an R96 for next grow. Maybe get one of these instead

I personally think the ViparSpectra is better quality. I think comparison might agree. Not sure, though.

They use, probably the same, Epistar 5w LEDs, have the same advertised lifespan and almost identical draw. Sure the Vipar looks a little slicker and I like that die-cut front. But I don't think we would see a big difference in performance. Like I said it's mostly the same parts. All the core parts are probably made in the same 5 factories with all of these Chinese lights. :-) But it's cheaper. The best Mars offered me was $169 for the R96, and it's cheaper on Amazon. So definitely a winner there.

Edit: I just noticed that the Vipar has a 3yr warranty compared to the 2yr for the Mars. Point for Vipar
