That was my point. You're already feeding water only. What are ya gonna do, pour more water on it? You won't be able to rid the soil of anything that is in it.

So it is pointless to flush

Perhaps there might/could be some way to flush in super soil. Maybe adding something like molasses, or baking soda, or ammonia, or whisky, or beer, or a thousand other things could be added to the flush water to like lock up the ions or radicals or whatever/however it is that the flush uses to pick up the ferts. Perhaps there is some commercial product that allows flushing? I have no idea but it would be nice to know.

The rain water here has low ppm but tests acidic, joys of city life!

I have bought commercial products for acid/base. Believe baking soda works for acidic water.

I have been feeding my plants tap water throughout their life. The ppm is 177, and I am curious if that is too much ppm for a flush or if I will be alright. If it is too high, what should I do?

flushing is not a meth and it just comes down to what the grower perfers this is an age old debate about if u cure it the nutes just magically just get up and walk out from you're buds but i do flush have and always will i do feed up to week 8 then flush 9-10 cause what strain is ever ready at week 8 i can tell an unflushed bud by taste the way it crackels to the headaches to the dirty white ash it leaves behind but hey if u dont want to flush go ahead i am not stopping you but really who has time to cure buds for months on end when a week or 2 of fresh water and a 7 - 9 day dry and i am blazing and getting rekted doing it

There isn't any studies on flushing tobacco fields because...

1.its not done, because it has no scientific basis in fact.

2.it would be stupid to "flush" a 500 acre field of tobacco.

Tobacco farmers learned hundreds of years ago the secret to smooth tobacco..

It's the curing process, and it's the exact same for cannabis.

By flushing do you mean the practice of innudating the pots with some formula of so many gallons of water in relation to the size of the pot? Or would you consider withholding nutrients a form of flushing?

Hey I'm not trying to be rude, but you obviously don't understand how it works. When you build a water only organic soil, you add things like earth worm castings, compost, oyster meal, kelp meal, neem meal, guano, perlite, pumice, and a whole host of other things. I'm not telling you exactly what to put in it. These are the things you can use. My piont is, there is no way to flush any of that out.

Every thing you said about using all kinds of different stuff is just outrageous. I would never pour whiskey or beer on any of my plants. Cmon man... Smh

I know what a placebo is thanks though ....and I also no dumping copious amounts of water through my plants is rediculous IMO because I use to do it ....late flower I'm only feeding water with a lil molasses to feed my soil and then the last several waters before chop I'm giving them plain old water at normal rates ......and I've never had anyone tell me I should of flushed when there baked off there ass ....to each there own though whatever you like to do ....I think it's idiotic to pour water through soil and you obviously don't which is fine ....I can agree to disagree .....I just think lots of people may throw the flushing word around not realizing what it actually means ......and to me it's if you have a 100 gallon pot your running 300 gallons of water through it ....which is silly to me

if u run full organics flushing is not needed at all i would agree 100% there if u are adding say dutch master house and garden canna so high salt nutes i don't give a shit what facts u have i aint smokeing it so im flushing it i like my lungs and any added chems to the smoke i just don't want and really what is the debate about it does not change how fucken stoned u get so who cares if u flush or u don't
