Fuuuuuuuki have plant counts to man,i just choose to run it a lil different.i chop a plant and put another in the room same night.some times we have 2 or 3 plants to chop in the same week and i will have 2 or 3 to fill those spots no problem.i run my veg a tad bigger than i prob need but when stuff gets too big i just tip em back a lil and keep em ready to go.heres some veg pics

these are all in 7 gallon pots, all my mk .i run alot of 7's as well as 10's but these 7's average about 14-16 oz.it took me a while to realize more space per plant helped yields in my setup more than pot sizes or nutes or even lighting.gotta have space to roam.

those ^^ were before i started using gavita, all under 600w digilux lamps
@PhotonFUD so i didnt want to keep cluttering gg's thread but if i understood that right, you need to calibrate the hydrofarm quantum meter when you get it ? does it have instructions and whatnot for maybe using the sun? i thought i read something on the apogee site about using the sun but maybe i was just stoned lol.im really wanting to get the hf meter.
i got ya now, sounds easy enough.thanks for clearing that up for me.
pretty damn close on those numbers to,got me even more excited lol
Very simple unit. The electronics part has very little to it. Basically has a lcd, usb interface, a couple of chips, battery and connection to the sensor.
The sensor is significantly larger than other meters. Maybe that's the magic.
Comes with a shiny black carrying case in very reduced cardboard package.
Battery required charging so I did so for an hour and installed the software. You could connect it permanently via usb to a computer and have it pull the log data daily. It has a few different logging modes including spot readings at 30 min intervals for 2 days and daily averages for up to 99 days.
Once I get set up, I will run a bunch of tests and compare the readings to what others have gotten for various chips.
I was hoping you were going to say hydro galaxy haha.
went ahead and ordered this meter last night from amazon using hydrogalaxy,i just didnt trust them enough to go straight thru the company lol.should be here in a few dizzleim thinking about buying this meter from them http://www.hydrogalaxy.com/timers-lighting-controllers/quantum-par-meter-micromols/?gclid=CIal5NjfiM8CFYQDaQodFBcKUw
I have an $155 , Apogee SQ-120 sensor hooked upto my digital multimeter. Has been working great for 2+ yearswent ahead and ordered this meter last night from amazon using hydrogalaxy,i just didnt trust them enough to go straight thru the company lol.should be here in a few dizzle
Use a multi meter to check DC voltage and current. Or just take one out and mail it to me. I can test and give you the DC side data. Based on DC side numbers you can decide what cob may work for your hack@Growmau5 can you give me any advice/info on how to hack this big fucker.
Mars 2 - 1600w (actual draw 760w)
I watched your hack video but this sucker has a few more parts to her lol.
I pulled out a power supply but there aint no writing on it anywhere.looks like they all have at least 2 sets of leads, some have 3 sets (the drivers).fans are 12 v 0.30A.fuggin pigtails everywhere, and lots of extra thermal paste haha.
Should i.just bust out a multi meter and check the leads? If so i would like some guidance on that as well.i know i know, noobie
So its ok to just plug that fixture in with no led strings hooked up and just test one or 2 drivers?I have an $155 , Apogee SQ-120 sensor hooked upto my digital multimeter. Has been working great for 2+ years

That will give you the V DC Max of driver. But not the current. For current need to have led hooked up.So its ok to just plug that fixture in with no led strings hooked up and just test one or 2 drivers?
Gavita plant is still in the rack drying, you cant hurry perfection lol.cob plant has only been binned up a few days.first weight was 610 grams so just over a gpw but i think i will weigh it again once its ready for sale to get a more accurate #,im sure it will shrink to around 550to 575g.gavita plant def ended up being bigger based on space used in the racks so we shall see.i still think the gpw will be extremely closeYes, yes. Fancy meters, nice nice. What happened to the final numbers, comments and conclusions on the two plants? Please conclude that run, gladly with some pictures, as I never read anything !
How did you get 4 COB kits for $184 at Cutter? I am seeing $404 US????I am building a new space with two 4x4 rooms, finished the room today, I ordered (12) 3590 CB 35K for each side from Cutter they have a kit that includes (4) cobs, Ideal Holder, Ideal Adapter to suit Ledil Angelina and Graphite Thermal Interface. the 4 cob kits sells for $184 plus s/h but with the discount it covered most of that so to my door about $44 per unit.
he buying the COB kit that has the cob ,holder ,thermal interface , reflector , this is not the Mua5 heatsinks & complete driver cob build kit , it's just the cobs & hardware no driver or sinksHow did you get 4 COB kits for $184 at Cutter? I am seeing $404 US????
