What a GREAT DIY build!! This is what this forum is all about, effective, cheap, easy, and quick to build. I have a crapload of the little EZ-Cloner red and blue sprayers but they get clogged pretty easy and the big nozzle would be so much better and cheaper, not to mention drilling all those holes, fitting the little spray heads. I see only one suggestion to make an improvement and you would figure that out when the roots get down into the res; you need to put a baffle with a paint strainer sock on that intake. I'm thinking something with holes in it like a piece of PVC or metal that connects to the intake so the roots don't get sucked into it and burn up your pump. Thanks for the contribution!!

Loving this, I built something similar using the EZ-Cloner nozzles last summer and it works a treat. I can recommend Harbor Freight for cheap and quality sub pumps - all kinds of sizes.

Amazing job. How fast did you get roots? 360 sprinkler heads - like you said everything is getting drenched under the cover.

What is the time for? Don't you pretty much run it 24x7?

The white PVC T is connected to the pump at the bottom of the tote? Thanks.

Roots usually start showing within 3-5 days but can also take longer depending on strain and water/ambient temperatures along with other varying factors, but shouldn't take longer than 14 days being the worst case scenario. The timer is optional, some people like to run the pump 30/30-ON/OFF or 15/15-ON/OFF or even 45/15-ON/OFF, but it's just a preference and people usually like to stick with what works for them, but you can just run the pump 24:7, that's what most people do. Also, the PVC-T is in fact attached to the outlet of the submersible pump which is located at the bottom center of the reservoir.

I made one a few years back.. used an empty detergent bucket only 12 sites... With the smaller rez if I ran the pump 24/7... it would cook the cuttings.. if I ran 30/30.. 78f.. so the pump and rez need to be tested together.. Damn nice build!!!
