................and yes, I do de-carb before hand, I'm no expert, but from what I understand THCa just isn't digest-able unless it's de-carboxylated, whether that's through a natural aging process or baking it, it's gotta be done.

Yes, the one back left with trichs all over is a Hazeman seeds - Fat purple, they were a freebie from the 'tude and I'm quite impressed with it............. I've also got a male flowering out in my little greenhouse tent, just about to start dropping pollen, so I might make some F2's with her.

I've never run his gear before, but i've also got 10 of his Elephant stomper in the hope it's nearly as good as GGG's Grape stomper and I've also got 12 LA pure kush that were attitude freebies as well.

yeah that's the way I'd understood it too, but thanks for bringing up the aging process, that had completely escaped my memory :shock:

You see, this dude was making butter and didn't decarb. He did 3 batches: trimmings, dry uncured bud, cured bud.
Seems the effect was amazing anyways (he said something about lying on the floor swimming on the 3rd batch? lol). So he theorized that since the butter was at 80-90°C for 2 hours it would be just about the same as having decarbed.
I almost bought it :bigjoint:

But what probably was actually going on is that the curing process did some THCa conversion. He reported the 1st batch as very light, the 2nd as so-so, and the 3rd as amazing (it was 2 months cured then). Corresponds exactly. Ha!

Ive used some local flower here which was probably curing for 2-3 months before it was sold and it didnt need much decarb. Swimming on the floor after 3rd batch, ha ha ha ha ha, still laughing at that. I have been there

Yeah, aged material has already partially de-carbed..........plus, that's a high temperature extraction, so there will be de-carb going on there. I extract at 70 degC for 10 hours in a crock pot, just stirring and checking temps occasionally.

Mine's STRONG.......had a small sample last night, felt nothing for an hour, then an hour of pure euphoric/melancoly buzz, then one minute I was posting shit on here, the next thing I know my dogs waking me up for his morning walk, I was out for the count.

OMG lmao yeah sure sounds strong! :D

I just went to check out crock pots haha
Sounds pretty cool to be able to just go away - especially over that long time! Definitely makes extracting at lower temps more attractive :mrgreen:
But it seems they're normally pretty big!
So this is only something for big batches?

Nah crock pots can be used for any size batches. Its just a slow cooker

I found a small one, think it holds 1.5L max, perfect for the job, but I do have to monitor it's temp and switch on or off every 20-30 mins or so, or it gets up to 90degC

Definitely good to know! Though at the moment, I wouldn't need it often - nor any other form or fashion!
I don't care about effect, health, frugality, stealth haha, there's just something so special about crumbling up that bud between your fingers and sprinkling it out, sniffing those wonderful scents and feeling the lingering stickiness, mmmm! It would be even nicer smoked pure, but that would knock me out - still smoking those homeopathic 0.1g or so. At a time haha

Oh yeah lots of goodies to look through then. They have some covered greenhouses with some monsters. The rosin stuff is further on this end, but might as well enjoy the thread
