I talked to a guy who said to spray Silica on plants as a spider mite preventative.
This guy Jerry in Maine says in Veg - Neem oil, Silica and Aloe Juice to make it stick.
In Flower he says Spinosad, Silica and Aloe Juice to make it stick.

"Jerry's" formula:
Recipe: add a tablespoon to a cupful of room temp (tepid) water. To this add a quarter teaspoon (it's all you need) of liquid silica ProTekt, and stir. You'll notice the oil beads immediately emulsify. Add this to a gallon of tepid water (no chlorine - let it sit out overnight if needed). Add a quarter of a cup of Aloe Vera juice ( you can get this at most health food stores - I use "Lily of the Valley" brand) and shake well until you see it "foam" up a little, activating the surfactant properties of the aloe.
I assume the tablespoon is for Neem oil in veg and per gallon, quarter tea of Silica and quarter cup of Aloe (which seems like bullshit). In FLower - I think per gallon of water that Spinosad would need at least 2 tablespoons but maybe not.
Then I found this where they sell Silica by the bag aka Potassium silicate

They mention:
For foliar IPM application, we reccomend mixing AgSil 16H with Dyna-Gro Pure Neem Oil.
Mix 1.5 grams AgSil 16H with 1 ounce Dyna-Gro Pure Neem Oil to saponify the oil. Then mix this saponified oil with one gallon final volume spray solution. Spray every other week covering all plant surfaces (top and bottom of leaves) until it runs off.
They do not say if this is for bugs.
So have any of you "homies" or "bro's" ever tried this?
I know liquid Silica toughens the plants but does it do anything to mites? Silica is based on sand aka glass which is similar to Diatemecious Earth which cuts bugs up. I cannot see liquid Silica cutting up bugs.
