what a challenging question Padawa. I think it's worth a shot. Because we haven't tried it yet. If we all work together in a positive fashion , I think it would work!
I agree, man. When did our country stop giving a fuck about being the best because being the best was something to strive for?

When did it become a country that should only be the best for those that can afford it?..

You just answered your own question America has the best medicine because there's competition and may drive prices higher but that's why we have the best in the world. It's very unfortunate some people cannot afford it. The issue is when medicine becomes socialize The competition ceases to exist because the return is the longer there. That's not to say healthcare is not available for everyone in America it is if you cannot afford it that's what Medicare is for. While it may not be Cadillac health insurance it's still meets the needs

It's a basic right, and it works if greed and despotism are kept in check.

"So doctors in America do not necessarily have to fear having universal healthcare?"

"No. I think that if you want to have $2 or $3 million dollar homes and 4 or 5 nice cars and 6 or 7 nice televisions then maybe, yeah, ya need to practice somewhere you can earn that. But I think we live comfortably here and, London is an expensive city but I think we live very comfortably."

you claim that healthcare is not a right but look at how you cried over the fact that you are too poor to get healthcare and then went and took advantage of multiple socialized government run health care programs.

What is the underlying principle of the idea that healthcare is a right? I don't know. I question whether a person inherently deserves to be served by a doctor.

Doctors implicitly or explicitly agree to the standards that the medical community sets. Helping every person is a choice that community has made.

But it only makes moral and economic sense to have universal healthcare. The downsides are extremely outweighed by the positives. Health is something we can afford eachother, something that benefits us all.

C'mon, you know there are countless worthy people that would severely benefit from universal healthcare. It often happens that people can't get healthcare when they need it most, and it's very tragic. Good people are needlessly suffering, they are losing their loved ones and their livelihoods. Not to mention it would be a net gain for our economy.

That's just incorrect.

It cost more in the US because the healthcare system is corrupt.

The very medicine you call the best is cheaper in Canada but it is illegal for me to buy it from there.

Only because the name is different though. You know because if it had the same name I could legally import it.

Its a sham man. Our system is horribly crooked.

That's not the point

All people in need, even those who suffer from addictions brought on by their own bad decisions deserve sympathy at the very least, systematic care if you're human, and treatment if you actually give a fuck.
