Bill Clinton handed Dubbya a strong economy AND a quarter trillion dollar a year budget surplus; the first fucking thing the new administration did was enact a giant tax cut for the rich that turned the surplus into a HALF trillion dollar deficit- and you'll recall the Great Crash he handed the Obama administration 8 years later.

If your Republican saviors had left the budget alone, America would have been OUT of debt entirely by the end of the Bush administration.

Don't talk to Democrats about fiscal discipline, it only shows your ignorance.

The national debt will be given to our children, and Republicans are completely responsible for it. Jeff Sessions himself was famously quoted by a reporter during the Bush administration as saying that running up the debt was fine.

It only makes sense to vote Republican if you earn over half a million dollars a year, because that's who they cut taxes for. Even then, they aren't doing you a lot of favors, because they wreck the rest of the economy to do it, which tends to hurt the profits of those very same corporations the rich make their money from.

I am unaware of the grower that posted for years here about plants saying that. But I never read anything in the politics section before this year.

It would bother me if he did but not surprise me.

I brought him up because he was a combative self righteous poster who basically shot down anyone who didn't agree with him like you.

But he had good information and was very helpful and it was entertaining to read along. I had not joined back then. I only did last year so I could finally see the pics of the plants and grow rooms out of late night boredom.

If we Americans spent as much money helping people around the world as we do on killing them we would have to ask foreigners to please stop erecting monuments to our generosity instead of trying to kill us.

We need to let them keep what they already have and just tax them fairly going forward, otherwise the opposition will fight too vehemently for us to get anything done.
