it's even better- Trump has YET to declare the county in which Houston is a part of, a disaster county so insured can start making claims..

Trump has no control over that. FEMA does. The entire area, including Houston, were declared disaster areas two days ago.

If FEMA had failed to act, Trump could have declared it with an executive order, but it's not necessary since it was done long before he ever showed up.

Quite possibly. People who called themselves moderate conservatives helped stop Trumpcare.

This is the list of Republicans who refused to vote for a bill that would cause 10's of millions to lose health care coverage. I guess the bar for being a called a moderate in the Republican caucus is set at the level of "not completely a sociopath".

People are reporting they're calling their insurance company's and can't file claims because it has not been, whatever declaration is required to start the process.

Hat's are still in the lobby, folks.

They're lying. They're probably getting denied because they're filing claims on their home owners insurance and they are being told they're not covered for flood damage.

there is alot of people down here, that don't have insurance at all, those are the people who are really screwed. And supposedly here in texas there is a new law about insurance companies, so alot of people are being told to file before friday, cause the 1st is when the new law goes into effect.......

yeah, i saw something the other day about what % of residents don't have any.

probably the same people that didn't buy ACA and took the penalty because they weren't sick at the time.

Flood insurance is expensive. It's not required if you aren't in a Federally designated flood area. Therefore, most people not in one don't buy it. Not that they could afford it in the first place...
 
i have been down in a gulf coast region since the landing of harvey. We've been moving to people to shelters and safe places all week. Today we found out that a friend of ours house has been moved into the next zip code, this same person doesn't have insurance and is on a fixed income, this person lost everything, and i mean everything. So we are trying to do what we can for them.

I'm looking at this rally he's got going and only TWO red hats in the audience. conspicuously missing is the Trump gear and shouts of 'lock her up' and various chants they are known for.

i bet these are paid to be there..they're clapping nicely..no shouting and behaving..these are NOT trump supporters by far.
