How does it make sense for the whole party to go against the recommendations of the FBI? Especially when the Russia fiasco is under investigation and has returned indictments?

Presumably it will show that the FBI was doing something illegal which would make their opinion less relevant. Or maybe a nothing burger and repubs have stepped in it again. I support putting it all out as quickly as possible, whoever is bluffing is getting called.

Ya, but suddenly the FBI is un-trustable and their expertise is questionable meanwhile we have a potus who has lied from the get go and been plainly associated with other liars, felons and foreign agents?

I don't think it makes sense that so much effort is being put into discrediting an agency that is credible, has been credible and merited respect until they got on the wrong side of trump. If trump and the gop have no worries about serious wrong doing why mount campaign after campaign to discredit everyone who looks into the evidence?

I fear the memo is all about shutting down the Mueller investigation, and I'd like to read that report as well.

The FBI was a fucked up place under Hoover. They are not impervious to corruption and never to be trusted to watch over themselves.

The guy who said he was gonna release his tax returns, never released his tax returns yet he makes an argument about transparency. I find that ludicrous. Trumps is stone blind to his repeatedly brazen hypocrisy. His followers seem to place no value on this character trait, thats simply fucked up.

The FBI under mueller and comey was pretty well respected by both parties until trump. Its true that corruption is an ever present danger, but its not a convenient excuse to derail their proper role.

Im all for release of the complete document if its not an intelligence compromising problem. Waving around an edited few pages like its a smoking gun panders to the lcd.

All the more reason for powerful organizations like IRS, DOJ, and FBI having adequate controls to prevent political bias against citizens, especially if directed from office of president.

Does anyone remember the FUROR over how hillary *might* have sent confidential info in email (that turned out to not be classified at all)? How she had risked national security. How she was wreckless.

And now we have team russia, INTENTIONALLY releasing the most closely held counter-intelligence secrets - confirmed TS secrets - that will have a KNOWN "Grave Impact" to natsec - just releasing it for no other purpose than smearing the fbi.

And the people who were having heart attacks over yoga schedules a year ago are cheering on the release.

Hillary did send classified emails over her unsecured router and then tried to destroy evidence. Why do you think the FBI is not trusted to do an honest investigation?

She didn't. She also didn't send classified information. But the hypocrisy over those who claim it is what is astounding. There was simply no evidence she violated any laws, and it wasn't because the fbi wasn't looking or somehow overlooked it. The evidence didn't exist.

But the benghazi-nazi's were still apoplectic over a couple of confidential tags that were accidentally included. None of the material itself was classified.

And then we have clearly TS level info, with peoples lives on the line, being handed out like candy just to obstruct justice and its ok. Not.

Well then why did Comey say that she did send and receive classified info on her personal email?
