When I was in Federal Prison the 1st time from 97-2001. Went back from 2007-2009, and did 6 years supervised release in between, and got violated.
In 98 they brought in a new guy into my cube. He was normal enough looking, younger than me. I was 39 then, he was probably 25.
After a couple of months, he told me what he was in for. He lied to everyone else, and said he was in for drugs, when in reality, he was in for a HATE CRIME/Arson/Attempted MURDER.
He almost killed a little baby.
Me?? I was in for a nonviolent, no weapons found ect marijuana grow, and got 10-Life Mandatory Minimum. $3,000,000-$5,000,000 fine.
I 1st did 5 years behind fence, then was supposed to have 8.5 years supervised release. Which is 13.5 years, and satisfies the Minimum of 10. They can give it any way they want.
They could have given me 9.5 years, and 4 year SR. Or 1 year and 12.5 SR. ect.
This guy only got 8 years, and 3 SR. Me for Weed?? They buried me. I had about 1100 clones. I had the longest SR Sentence of anyone at the prison.
He burned a cross on a biracial couples yard, and then caught the house on fire, and almost killed an infant, a grade schooler, and husband, and wife. He gets 8 years.
And considering Im married to a Filipina, I was enraged, but kept my cool, as I had plans for this motherfucker.
My 1st cellie when I went in was the #1 guy for the Louis Farrakhan followers at the prison, and we actually ended up getting along really well, considering. I lived with him 1st and another cell came open with a bottom bunk, and I was up next. Top was open. They brought in this MFer after a couple months.
I also had as many, or more Latina, and Black friends as I did white, as I see no fuckin color, and if someone wants to be friends, there were going to be friends. Period. 1 of my most cherished friends died when I was in prison, and was also a grow partner. Id known him since 1st grade.
Mine was also the 1st year for integration, and also lived right next to the local park, and played with every kid there regardless of color all my life before school. I was never taught, not did I ever hear any kind of derogatory language vs other races when I was little.
Ive a good bit of Irish, and was always taught some of my ancestors also had a hard time of things in the 1800s,and American people didn't like them either, but considering theyre white, eventually they blended in, and that was that.
But I will say, the guy ended up getting fuckup up good enough they never brought him back. It was also not done in my cube ect, so I couldn't be blamed for anything.
I had 3 more years to do, and no way I was living with a racist, arsonist, and someone who attempted murder, on a fuckin INFANT, and 1st grader. No Less the parents.
