Our country wasn't built by immigrants, it was built by lying to the indigenous people, raping its land, making promises it couldn't keep, and then trying to guilt trip future generations with sins of the father who are in no way responsible with, "you didn't build that!"
But even if what you say is true, those days are long gone. Our population was only 17 million back then, we're now over 19 times that at 325 million. Also we didn't have the debt we do now. And certainly we weren't Team America world police.
Times change, we have to realize nothing can last forever. Especially our depleting natural resources which will just get worse.
