Just got the shipping quotes etc .
After you factor in shipping & US dollar
I’m going to pay almost 1800 for what I want . Fuck that, I’m going to pick up another DE1000 and call is good n keep $1300 in my pocket .
I’ll look into them again in a few years when the price is more competitive with HPS .

I have a couple customers who experimented with Fluence Spyders. They worked great and produced some nice bud and weight but at $2300 landed, they went with Gavita DE1000 for $585 (old price) and got just as good looking bud and weight and saved huge when you factor in replacing 200 lights. LED manufacturers need to get a grip and have them no more than $1000 for 550-750W especially now when people want single light setups.

Especially when you consider there's only a limited number of reputable chip and driver manufacturers. Most companies use a variation of the same components, and all the R&D has been done too with the exception of new technologies on the horizon. So at this point other than everyone within the industry agreeing to keep the numbers high due to the larger profit from a manufacturers point of view, there's no real reason for the prices to still be this high.
It's also no longer a new technology anymore so they can't use that excuse.

Exactly look how fast Digital ballasts came down in price from $700 to $250 in made 4 years after introduction, same with CMH. As a store especially now with big growers budgeting it looks pretty stupid when I try to tell someone wanting a tent and they want an LED that it'll be at least $1000 just for a the light if they want a system that will produce enough weed to offset their initial cost which will take up to 4 months to crop. At true 500W LED I could sell quite a few unit at $500-700. Also the price you see in most stores in the $1000-2000 units is only marked up $150-200 max on a say 500-1000W array, most of the cost is from the manufacturer.

Some companies offer daisy chaining. California Light Works, off the top of my head, and some offer a wireless remote for spectrum adjustments. Some higher end brands like LumiGrow offer both plus an online app you can use when away from home or to program custom light spectrums.

LumiGrow or LuniniGrow has had a controller and android box for at least 2-3 years. I have one of their panels here with a spectrum controller. This was pre wifi controller which they had for at least 2 years.

So I have remote controls for my 630 de cmh's. I have never had a reason to use it. Can someone explain to me the benefits?

They're more useful when you have multiple lights connected to it. Lets you dim remotely and set schedules.

So I should have asked why I would want to dim them? Doesn't that change the spectrum and weaken the bulbs?
I should say the remote is for the ballast I just use a cheapo digital 2 inlet timer.

Usually used to transition from seeds and clones to veg to avoid shocking them. And some do the same from veg to flower. Spectrum stays the same, light output is decreased.

Fuck data entry sucks lol. I'm setting up a few sites related to the industry. My main site is going to take some time so I'm making a clone site just for selling nutrients, ph/tds meters and RO machines. That one will be way easier set up so if I work my ass off it should be done by tomorrow or Sunday. The main site will take me a least another week as it'll contain way more products and features and will require quite a bit of writing and photoshop work but so far looking good.

Placed an order with Canadian garden supply today . Canada post shipping wasn't an option. I forgot about the strike. Funny thing is even with the shipping costs, it all was still cheaper then I can get in person.
I will post when it arrives to show how long it takes to cross the country for $160 worth of shipping lol

CP is taking for ever from Lower Mainland to Alberta. UPS is like 2x the price and Purolator even more.Placed an order with Canadian garden supply today . Canada post shipping wasn't an option. I forgot about the strike. Funny thing is even with the shipping costs, it all was still cheaper then I can get in person.

Ya it was just whatever courier option they use. Can't remember the company. I got the cheapest option at $160. The most expensive was priority overnight and it was just under $700 hahaha

Just testing out Fedex and small packages are a couple $ more than CP so could be same or cheaper on contract. I tested out with a 40Lb package and it was same as UPS in the $120 area across Canada. Looks like I should set up a Fedex account I guess for when my stores go live.
