You spent 2.5K already and you're barely getting around to doing your research? What kind of exhaust fan do you have? If you have a good exhaust you may not need an intake fan at all. How big is your space? What kind of lighting? There is no "best" nutrient to use. I've grown in Hydrotron and I have tried Flora Nova for veg and Advanced Nutrients Sensi Bloom. For my next grow I'll be using Foxfarm. Choose a brand. Most of the stuff out there is good shit. Can't help you with co2.

its 5ft-5ft 7ft tall. it in the dr150 in a walkin-closet, not really much fresh air so was thinkinkin of ducting from an a/c vent to the room since i have an air cooable reflector but is that neccassary or can i get away with just running a fan on thelight? exhaust fan- dyton 140,lighting 400w MH 600WHPS..the store is full of nutes so ill just follow you and experiment.

for the lighting you definitely need an air cooled reflector, with ducting runninng theough it and a fan. For me, i have a cooltube.

what i did was, i hooked up my carbon filter, and then from that i put some ducting, followed by a Vortex 540cfm fan sucking air out of the filter, n then more ducting from the fan running to the cooltube blowing air onto the lighting, and then more ducting out the other end of the tube, and out the vent in the tent. For air intake, im using a 80 cfm fan i got from HTGsupply. i already set it all up, and its workin pretty good. I definitely recommend a small air intake fan, but dont make it anywhere near as powerful as your exhaust fant, cuz itll fuck with the negative pressure in the room really badly, and you want negative pressure

There's a good chance you may need to vent your light's heat away. Get it connected as soon as you can and gauge the temp after a few hours. You should be concerned about anything above 85 degrees.

Probably not, though it looks like a fine fan. If heat is a problem, you're going to need an inline fan that matches the size of your air-cooled hood, usually 6". You'll be able to place the light a little closer to your plants that way too. A can fan/filter combo might suit you best. A fan like this will solve odor(with a filter) and heat issues no problem. I have a smaller 178 CFM unit and it works fine for my 3.3'x3.3'x6.5' Homebox. I'll be adding an air-cooled reflector soon too.

This is the way to do it. I have mine running the same way, and believe me, i've tried them all.

yeah, i just got back from the store and he gave me good discounts really. He didnt have most the stuff i ordered. I got the can fan filter combo33 coming with the 6" inline fan at 270CFM. My Dayton didnt come in either so what is a good exhaust fan? i got a few to choose from..and as for the inline fan to cool my lamp should i go vortex?

450 might be overkill considering you still don't know how hot(or cool) your room will get when fully lit. The 6" 270CFM might be all you need.

how about for exhaust? should i just use the Canfan/filter combo to just filter the air out the room? or would i need a stronger exhaustfan to equal out everything in the room?

First off, stop buying things. Get this shit figured out before you start laying down your money.

1. How will you be venting your exhaust? Through the ceiling perhaps?

2. What kind of temperatures do you expect to have over the next three months in your area? I ask because it could be that you will only need one fan to exhaust, that will in turn have plenty of suction to bring cooler air in through a cracked door, all while scrubbing the air of odors at the same time. Make sense?

1.Not sure what you mean by venting my exhaust..but it will be in my closest and have no space to really vent anywhere no attic or basement, and cant go puttin holes in the cieling but maybe into another room..or into a huge wooden box i have lol..

2. next 3 months expecting it to be in the mid 70's to 80's...a/c running at 74 all day. I get what your saying but im going to be using a DR150 tent so there will be no cracked door just cracks in the door from it being a shit closest door lol.

I think you need to get your light up and running first. It's the only way you will know for sure how to best approach ventilation. Run that light for at least a few hours and find out how hot the tent gets. Your requirements could be as simple as running a small oscillating fan. If you're getting 85+ degree temps in there, your ventilation system will need to be much more elaborate.

aight i guess ill do a test run on the lights 100% sure it will reach 85degree..tho im not in the same house i would be, right now on this computer its reachin 85degree with the computer running.. no lights on..thats how hot it is here. sweating balls just typing this lol
