Repirations for slavery

Didn't "native americans" come to North America via Asia ?

Did they displace any indigenous people or occupants in North America ?
Only if you believe in HISstory and are confused about where ASIA MINOR is during biblical times.

Since the average Walmart costs over $400,000 in food stamp and other government assistance to its employees who can't even afford to live while taking in huge profits, shit just blame the help. A corporation that profits in the billions shouldn't be allowed to do business in the US if they're not going to pay decent enough wages to live on. It couldn't be because those people working there don't have representation. Which is why Unions came about in the first place. Otherwise they'd have 6 year old kids working all day long for a piece of candy. Corporations get away with what they can as long as they can. Screwing the working poor all the way to the bank.

Lets start with Greece to shut you down and the fuck up.
Greece used race to determine if you are a slave or not ? Are you really this stupid and unknowing ?
Most activities were open to slaves except politics, which was reserved for citizens. Big difference in the ancient slavery of Greece and between chattel slavery (personal possession, where the slave was regarded as a piece of property as opposed to a mobile member of society) versus land-bonded groups such as the penestae of Thessaly or the Spartan, who were more like medieval serfs (an enhancement to real estate). The chattel slave is an individual deprived of liberty and forced to submit to an owner, who may buy, sell, or lease them like any other chattel used in the Americas.
Greek slaves who were able to save enough money could buy their freedom by paying their masters an agreed sum. We also know of slaves employed in the army who were granted their freedom as a reward for their service. Slavery in Greece was not based on color
. Again do some fucking research on the helots and you will see they were the same color of the people who enslaved them.
Here is a quick 13 facts of Greek slavery to help with your ignorance. https://www.historyly.com/greek-history/facts-about-slavery-in-ancient-greece/

Can we move next to others on your list to show more of your stupidity or do we discuss Greek further ?

they all had institutional slavery...all of them....some of them STILL DO
Nothing like what was practiced in the Southern United States in the 1800's, though.

Most of the nations you listed didn't even link slavery to skin color. Race was almost never a consideration. Read up. Did you know that it was illegal to free a slave in the south? Also it was not legal to put a white person in slavery? Also if a black person could not prove they were free then they were sold off.

i just don't like your arrogance...you can move on to where ever you like... and any time you try to blame my country for inventing some kind of evil that's been around as long as there have been people, i'll tell you you're fucking full of shit...you're full of shit...
back on ignore, where you belong...there's a whole group here that's just so fucking arrogant about being wrong...that has no patience for anyone that doesn't agree with them...well fuck you, i don't agree with you...and i have no patience for you...
Your country ? What the fuck have you done for your country besides being born in it ?
Do you think I care about ignore ? I'm cool as long as others see me shutting you the fuck down and up.
No one said America invented slavery. We are saying America took slavery to a whole new fucking level. Hell slaves in America where not even allowed to learn to read or write and kept uneducated whilst being beaten, raped, sold, tortured all based on the color of your fucking skin. Not based on debt, war prisoner or if your parents sold you ...but only the color of your fucking skin
Why is it when a black/brown man spills knowledge that can be supported he is deemed as arrogant or uppity ?

Why do some Americas want to hide from the harsh reality of what their ancestors did ? Why do they not realize that the only way we move forward is acknowledgment and corrections ?

I don't understand either.

Maybe it is the meaning in the word is reparation. It does imply that something is owed. A moral obligation for a wrong. Yet the people who did it are long gone and the reparation would be made by everybody in the country today, some of whom came to the country later and everybody else who was born long after slavery was abolished. I think that's what has set people's hair on fire. I don't look at it that way but that's what I hear Shubber saying. He's saying that he didn't do it so why should he have to make reparations? He can correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I'm hearing.

I think there are ways to make reparations without wearing a hair shirt. I also don't think that just cutting a check is the answer. Sanders and Harris both had good though incomplete answers that make more sense.

minimum wage isn't slavery...not paying attention in school is self slavery...not learning how to do anything but run a cash register and stock shelves is self slavery...choosing to have children when you can't financially support them is not only self slavery, it's adding more slaves to the pool...
the "minimum wage" isn't the problem...a society that tells kids that they're winners when they lose is part of the problem. a society that has had generations of people on welfare is part of the problem. a society that values appearances more than ability is a part of the problem. politicians that don't give a shit about their constituents, beyond how to keep them voting for them, is a big part of the problem....
the minimum wage sets the bottom line at the grocery store...that's about all it does. you can make it twice as high, and in a year, the prices of groceries, doing laundry, child care, will rise to eat up any increase in the minimum wage...
what needs to be fixed is the way we do things in general.
there are hundreds of thousands of people on welfare. how about building large child care centers, testing some of these welfare recipients, and putting them to work watching children, so other people can afford child care, and go to work?
how about improved mass transit, so people can get to work a little faster, and don't have to waste an hour or more a day waiting for a ride to their minimum wage jobs?
how about building some more clinics in low income areas, and letting doctors and nurses work off their student loans at them?
this whole thread is about money, when it should be about human dignity. give someone a hand full of cash, and tell them that you're sorry for something you didn't do, and didn't happen to them...and what do you have? white people who feel like they're all square, and minorities that will soon be poor again...
Minimum wage can be slavery if you are only paying 7.25 an hour with the cost of living today.
A lot of factors set the pricing at grocery stores. A big one is turning a profit for share holders. You also have other factors like cost of fucking corn/wheat, fuel etc...
If you want to see a fucking fix. Turn to greedy company's paying CEO and high admin. stupid sums of money.

anyone who thinks that slavery still does not affect people of color today are fucking dumb as fuck or racist as shit.
You cannot rip a people from their land, keep them uneducated, break up their families, whip, beat, pit against one another for over 373 only to change it up to some "Jim Crow" bullshit enacted after the also bullshit Reconstruction period. These laws continued in force until 1965. Yes in my fucking time !!!!. Today you still have the BULLSHIT of institutionalize slavery and the chant of " Make America Great Again "
A good example of Americas modern day bullshit would be Crack and Cocaine. How is the fucking world do you get more time for a piece of crack versus 10 grams of cocaine ? Fuck you need to cocaine to make the fucking crack. But we know who is more subject to use Crack versus Coke.

This is what Kamala Harris talks about when asked about the subject. Sanders just went back into treating it as an economic issue. It is untreated trauma and PTSD over generations. that he's missing.

The only way we can begin to heal is if people recognize that what is happening today is an outcome from the brutality visited upon African Americans in the past and today.

i'm curious why color has anything to do with it? why does it matter why one person subjugates another? i find it hard to feel guilt about something i didn't do. i do feel a little guilt about not doing more to stop systematic racism during my life time, but i also feel that i've done little to nothing to contribute to it. i do my level best to treat everyone he same till they give me a reason not to. i have quit doing business with some people because of their attitudes. i've tried to vote for the best candidates i could, who don't support this kind of shit....i don't really feel the need to do more on a personal level. if our government makes a decision to give reparations to some, then that's what will happen. if it is in the form of cash payments, i think that will be a huge mistake, that will just make white people feel better about themselves, and not make any real lasting improvements in minority communities. but one way or the other, i don't feel like i owe anyone anything.

Most feel that way. Just ask the typical German. Any German under the age of 74 wasn't even alive during the war. But to this day, they're beaten down about what happened.

I'm not saying anybody should ever forget their own dark hours, but eventually you have to put them behind you and move on. For histories sake, they should be remembered so that they never happen again.

But for the sake of the here and now, people need to move on with living in today's world, not one they had no part in, no affinity for, and no relation to.

The simple fact is, reparations at this point are an impossibility. There is simply no way on earth to separate those who came over when and under what circumstances. And as I stated before, the U.S. is actually responsible for a very, very small minority of former slaves to begin with. Slavery took place in the colonies for over 230 years before the United States ever came into existence.

The entire idea is a noble one, but it's simply misguided as it's impossible to actually become a reality. It would be like trying to make reparations for the Mongol Invasion or the sacking of Rome or trying to file suit against those who took part in the inquisition.

It's part of the reason we have this thing called "statue of limitations". There comes a point when so much time has gone by that the parties responsible or either dead, the paperwork lost, or the particular incident itself becomes lost to history or is, in accordance with common sense, deemed moot.

They can talk 'till doomsday about it. Nothing will ever happen because there's simply no way to implement it fairly.

Spoken like a white man who has had the luxury of white privilege all its life. " Hee Haw lets all forget about slavery and making things right by the way this country has treated ( and still treats ) her citizens of melanin. Lets us continue to ignore the difference between living in the suburbs and living in a urban community. How damn bad the schools differ. Coffee shops versus liquor stores. Sad that we hide these truths right before our eyes and scream bloody murder when anyone attempts to right a fucking wrong.

Here is a little something for the dumb ass selfish bigot racist POS that disagree with reparation. keep your fucking broke ass pennies in your lint lined pockets. The reparations should come from the companies that profited off slavery and the families as well. If it shows that you did profit, you pay into a fund that goes to urban schools, communities, social programs and the likes. here is a short list of fuck fucks who need to pay,

Lehman Brothers
Aetna, Inc
N M Rothschild & Sons Bank in London
Norfolk Southern
E.W. Scripps and Gannett
CSX
Canadian National Railway Company
Brown Brothers Harriman
Barclays
American General Financial Group

This list does continue and no dumb ass selfish bigot racist POS citizen has to worry about "govmint" taking money always from them buying Pabst .:spew:
Is this a working able idea or is it just no, slavery is gone and institutionalize slavery does not exists o_O

No one is saying what you're putting in their mouths.

I think many would agree with appropriating funds to the places you suggested. I think you're taking your anger out on the wrong guy.

No one is saying there isn't economic disparagement due to racism or racist historical governance. The imbalances you refer to in your post is something that needs to be righted. That's at least what I've been interpreting dude as saying..

And if it satisfy your hate, go ahead and hold people that had nothing to do with slavery accountable, but I don't see it as fair. Just like I don't think what was done to blacks was/is fair. Just like I don't think what they did to my blood was fair.
