Took some time off from growing after last summers shit show lol this year decided to do it right and build the ladies a home they've always deserved. still running in the same spot but I ripped out the 4x4 tent and moved around the 2x3 tent to make room for a solid wood room. I came across some spare lumber and my buddy had a brand new window unit he barley used, so my brain got to spinning and I built a roughly 3 foot wide, 6 foot high, and 7 foot long box and rigged up the ac unit on one side with vent holes to pull fresh air into my 2x3 tent for clones and seedlings. The way its set up the inline fan will pull fresh, cool air from the ac unit, through the room(side note: partner and I decided to dub the grow box the "tahj mahal" bc...well stoned, thats why haha) and into the tent to keep things nice and cool in there as well. Ive been able to keep temp and humidity problems at bay and the ladies are loving life so far. Right now they are under some cheap led house light bulbs but I have a 400W hps for flower and pretty soon will have either 2 or 3 315 cmh fixtures to run either with the hps or just alone. love what ive been seeing from the 315's and want to give them a try. Anything to cut down electric costs is fine by me.
Not gonna try to pretend I'm some expert but since 2013 I've read and researched and grown my own trying all different kinds of techniques and different lights, nutes, blah blah. Basically i've skimmed this whole site since then and seen the truths and the bullshit and decided to take a little bit from everything I've learned and use in my garden. It's not hard to wade through the bull on this site and see guys who know their shit, so I learned from them and watched how they did things. Say what you will but
@subcool and
@nugbuckets have some the most useful info that I always find myself coming back to. There are MANY others but those 2 are the main ones i started following early on. I've settled on as "organic" as possible for my ladies and I haven't regretted it one bit. I still use local compost that comes smelling like the best dirt youve ever smelled. This run we decided to use the same compost and mixed it with coco choir for some aeration. Started the ladies in rapid rooters, then moved to solo cups with some store brand seed starter mix(mostly peat and perlite) and now they are in their final homes of local compost, coco choir, EWC, and left over rootballs from last year. I've noticed that just a few simple ingredients makes my plants nice, green, and happy. Now I do use teas throughout during veg and flower to add a little "Umpf" in there lol but basically thats it. I water when bags are light or they look like they need it. Enough rambling here's some shots:
Forgot to mention: first run is 6 bagseeds of some dank and 5 cheesequake from TGA. Next run will be clones of the best CQ and bagseeds, plus i have 5 of each: Jillybean, Space Bomb, and Marionberry Kush.

about a week or two later:
I think this was 5-6 days later maybe
Nice little node stack:
the "Tahj Mahal" haha
These are the bagseeds out performing the Cheesequake right now:
1 CQ was ready to xplant but the other 4 are lagging behind for some reason so they stayed in cups for now
groupshot: bageeds in the back, Cheesequake in the front
Pics are from an iphone 6 still hahahaha so laugh it up. I'll upgrade eventually. Ill keep yall updated as it goes along.
