An open letter...No MEME could say it better

Yep, they're called governments and folks use them to organize their societies. This shit goes back to the stone age and the chief told ya yer place in the tribe and in the hunt, humans band together to face threats and accomplish goals, Hierarchies are intuitive and natural for humans, they are deeply rooted in our evolutionary history and are as fundamental to human nature as music, song, dance, religion and trade.
Except people don't live in clans of closely knit familial groups of less than 100 people and freely roam the earth scavenging wildebeest carcasses and stealing women from the next tribe anymore do they ? People also used to think throwing virgins in volcanoes to make the grain grow was a swell idea too.

Yeah, tradition. Not always the best way to defend an argument. But, nice try.

Birth right citizenship is a contract, you are largely rich because of the country you live in, passports count.
No, a contract to be valid starts with consent, from BOTH (or all) parties. Otherwise it's just a heap of bullshit like "tacit consent" and "social contract" used to rationalize things.

I'm rich because I will be harvesting potatoes next week and plan to eat potatoes this winter. Yum. Po-tay-to.

Not tradition, genetics and fundamental human nature, remember the monkeys? You do believe in evolution don't you?

It's citizenship Rob, not a contract to sell potatoes there is a difference.

Hierarchical systems are more intuitive and natural. When the shit hits the fan and there's no time to debate, you want to know who's in charge now, who is coordinating and disciplining this band of humans as they battle adversity. Humans band together to face threats and accomplish goals, leadership and planing are necessities and these behaviors are evolved right into our genes.

That's why we elect leaders, to coordinate and disciple. No wild animal could stand up to a stone age group of cooperating humans with a plan and sound leadership, back then to be ostracized from the clan meant a death sentence because humans find it very difficult to survive alone. You believe in myths that are contrary to human nature, not much different than an old commie. We have governments because we evolved that way, besides a town or a county could not operate without government, mass society is not possible otherwise.

Grow a brain Rob, ya believe in Hollywood myths created by for the most part, talented eastern European Jewish immigrants who wrote and produced many of the westerns you grew up with. The rugged individual is a myth, he's part of a larger social context, anarchy and libertarianism are fruitcake ideas no better than Lennon's version of communism.

Actually, no. In both cases it involves human beings and consent or lack thereof.

Citizenship is an imaginary concept, within the imaginary entity "government" which is nothing more than a superstitious belief that costumes and rituals can make ordinary people into "authority". It's funny. Don't be belittling my potatoes either, THEY, are real,

Thank you for the historical and Anthropological lesson, although it wasn't really necessary. We have governments because it is a contradictory belief reinforced by people who want to control other people.

You conflate cooperation with a coercion based government, they are not the same thing.

They still do in some places, it was common for stone age women to marry outside the clan often the husband would live with the woman's clan, this facilitated relations with neighbors, language issues and above all else trade. We spent a couple of hundred thousand years in this state of development going from the paleolithic to the neolithic stone age, we only got agrarian about ten thousand years ago, many Europeans were stone age until a few thousand years ago. Where do you think evolution left it's greatest mark?

An imaginary concept that can hang ya if ya get out of line, the chief could do ya too way back when...
Sometimes a fella just got to accept reality and move on Rob.

I'm a pretty big fan of the opposable thumb. Imagine how hard it would be to jerk off without one?

Are you familiar with the Sentinelese people ? They are an isolated population of people stuck in prehistoric time on an island today. Fascinating.

Well you see that's it. Reality is that a coercion based government can't possibly also be your protector, by virtue of it being coercion based. Is that the kind of reality you were talking about ?

I'm glad yer learn'n, but yer stiff necked and thick headed. Your real issue is an intrapersonal one, you don't like authority figures for subconscious reasons yer not aware of, dunno much about the syndrome, I'll look it up and get back to ya, think it has something to do with an abusive upbringing. Post here enough and I'll candle yer head Rob.

I prefer a comfortable sitting position for my students, no getting on the floor and folding yerself up like Goddamn pretzel and I'm happy to be of service to my fellow humans. Look up mindfulness meditation and candle yer own head, I can help, too with tips and resources. It's an exercise that grows out those parts of our brains that process emotion and it leads to inner happiness, peace and harmony. Be a Happy Warrior Rob, lose yer baggage and get yer self free, truly free from the burden of past hurts and slights. Science backs me up 100% and I'm a science guy. You'll also learn to get along better with others and be more integrated socially, empathy increases and it will grow a conscience on a stump.

That's the surface and a common image, ancient wisdom too. To under go the kind of change of perspective that will really let you experience the power of the practice and gain many of it's benefits I would recommend 8 weeks of formal practice twice a day and mindfulness exercises through out the day while performing simple tasks. It's works the same way as training your body and getting into shape, because it is your body and you need to also pay close attention to it in your training. Ya know it's an exercise, cause it's as hard to stick to as exercise and even though ya feel good after practice and during it, it's hard to get yer arse on the cushion sometimes.

More ancient wisdom, "You must first climb the mountain to enjoy the view, there are many paths to the top".

Here is a quote from me, an original from yer gentle master.
"Much of what passes through our minds is like that which passes through our arseholes, not particularly useful and sometimes downright harmful" I like to keep it real, no navel gazing around here. Look upon me, yer gentle master, as one of them thar gurus the billionaires tow around with em sometimes, ya got yer very own guru Rob, yer rich beyond imagining!

We'll get around to dunking ya in the river later...
