There’s an easy way to tell if they’re mh/mv or hps. Take a picture of the bulb side on so you can see all the insides

Hps ballasts have an ignitor inside the physical ballast while mh & mv lamps have them built into the bulb. It’s why you can put an mh bulb into a hps ballast, its not perfect and can reduce the lifetime of the mh bulb and sometimes cause them to explode but it’ll work.

Figuring out if they’re mh or mv would be the tricky part.

Lucky Luke poked fun at me when I posted a photo of my tent with multiple lemonade bottles inside. I drilled a few 1mm holes in the cap for gentle watering/spraying of seedlings for exactly this reason.

We're on the same page mate. ;)

i would say obviosly because ive obviously played with it today and thought it obviously looks like MH, but i thought it said hips
and it is bright to look at wasnt sure n thought,,,,mm reza wont be able to leave this

how can i crap on or whatever and trick ya, didnt work
theres allways tomorro

I use any 600 ml drink container with about 3 pin size holes in the lid to water new starts then when they big enough I dispose of the lid till I need to throw away the bottle

The main issue is mh and mv look the same but are completely different lighting spectrum and efficiency

The bulbs where what told me straight away they weren’t hps.
