That's nowhere near wanting to shoot people in the face for stepping outside, which is what you suggested, as if that somehow endangers you. It doesn't. It doesn't even endanger healthcare workers. It's now been demonstrated that hospitals are by far the most likely place to get infected by the virus.
What I said is absolutely true, I just said it clearly. I didn't say most of them prefer to die, or that they should die. I said "a lot of" them. It's absolutely true that given the choice between not being allowed to see grandchildren or walk in a fucking park and risking a potentialy deadly infection, a huge number or crusty olds would rather choose for themselves. Then you toss in two facts; that many people will have no choice but risk it and that it's far less deadly than was previously believed.
Top this all off with the fact that nobody is saying that you have to go outside yourself.
So yeah. I said that. Cry all night in your dusty little abode about the fact that economies are opening back up because the world wants to avoid a famine.
