Small plants, cold roots in veg, very short veg time, and I let the whitefly's get out of control, SOS Vietnam x TO and Orgi:

Two lonely SOS plants stacking nicely, no bud rot, no bugs, may have a nutrient problem, a little yellow on leaf edges, maybe the ewc?

For about a year I have had a number of issues, mistakes, foul-ups and memory lapses in my grows. Listing for the purpose of purging those problems from my life:

Last June, end of grow for final 4 plants before summer heat. All failed due to bugs, soil issues and inability to finish. Shut down grows until August. Rebuilt shed, new door, new filters and housings, painted, cleaned, bombed, cleaned and was ready to go in August. Discarded soil from June grow. Everything ready to go, got 5 of 6 females from regular seeds put into shed for flower stage. Mistakes begin:

1. Humidity was high so I decided to run fan for half hour after lights off to lower humidity. Instead I adjusted the lights adding half an hour to lights on. Immediately, one plant started to foxtail, but I did not notice for several weeks. Started a reveg somewhat on another plant. Changed the schedule but damage was done and unseen damage was in the works. Five nice plants growing large flowers, stupid Pink Gravy purchase from DonTesla had mold issues every grow. I took off for a vacation in Poland and came back to a Pink Gravy plant with Mold showing on outside of flowers. Four of five plants were damaged and basically unusable because of mold, only plant unscathed was Swami's The One \ Vietnam Black \ panama.

2. Stress issues cause three of six new plants in flower to show male ball sacks. I think the stressor was a change in lights from veg room to flower room. Went from veg under 315 CMH to flower under 400 Timber lights. Moved the three plants outside as I was still thinking my first five were in good shape. The stressor could be lack of light in the interior and down low, but I have found that if I trim up and remove more lower branching and pull nanners that they usually don't keep reappearing. Instead I tossed them outside in the back yard. They did good back there and two inside shed were doing nicely. So I am on my third set of seedlings at this point and running out of soil. I bring the plants back in the flower room from outside. What an idiot. Should have at least looked and sprayed for bugs. Adding grow 4 into room with bug infected plants. Stupid. Aphids and whiteflys.

Third grow left me with two really nice flowers Monkey Juice by HydroRed and SourBubba. Turned into my Christmas \ New Year smoke. Two nice plants since June 2019, geez that is pretty bad.

Judging by the pics, youre on track to having healthy bountiful harvests. Its all still learning experiences even when you get to grow # 100 and something. Looking good, keep it up!

3. Bugs. My shed is outside with a door that opens to the outside, bugs get in when I go in. But importing aphids by bringing in an outside plant was stupid. While fighting the aphids I did not realize the stinking white flies were going through their 5 larvae stages. And with both aphids and white flies, the mold came back. Holy Crap. So, everything out of the flower room, dump the soil, start over with cleaned and cleaned room, use yellow sticky traps, IPM with foliar, coconut water, aloe vera, silica, and clean again and again.

4. Seedlings are struggling, when up potted they show signs of PH issues, yellow tips on leaves. What the heck. This is new soil, thought I would go with Coots mix, which included Gypsum in mineral mix, 1 cup per cubic foot, 1 cup Oyster Shell Flower and two cups basalt rock dust. And I bought Fertel kelp, a big bag, a feed kelp. Other amendments were 1/2 cup each kelp, crustacean shell, neem/Karanja. Anyway, found some nice organic Garden Gypsum and added a cup the the 7 gallons. Plants were not doing well to begin with and had a hard time finishing. Turns out the Gypsum was 100% water soluble, so I am sure that messed up soil and the kelp - fungicide?

5. Little light on air conditioner got turned on and flower directly in front started to throw male nanners. Will it ever end.

New soil, fixed gypsum problem, new Norwegian kelp meal and things are looking better already. Hopefully optimistic with a number of different girls in the flower shed outside and some in the tent now that I am going to flip.

Put both types of light in veg tent and flower shed, a 315 cmh and 400 watt Timber cobs. Hope that lessens stress. Trimming up more bottom growth for same reason.

Bugs have been under control so far with no mold for some time. Night temps above 68.

Seedling mix looked good and here is first set of new soil grow below.

25 days later and pretty big stretch for Xanadu and monkey juice, one TO/Vietnam Black female all moved to shed for added height. New soil mixed for those three and sour Bubba, same "Coots/Gascanastan" mix: 7 gal, 1/3 each sp. peat, worm castings, pumice with biochar, 2 cups basalt rock dust, 1 cup oyster shell flower, 1 cup gypsum, 1/2 cup neem-karanja, 1/2 cup crustacean meal, and 1/2 cup kelp meal. Changes were mistakenly using 100% soluble gypsum and some questionable kelp. Replaced both.

Three in back - Panama Goo and 2 Xanadu, two in middle sour Bubba, last two TO/VB and monkey juice:

Moved more mature ladies into tent. Back right is frosty Panama goo, two on right are monkey juice, and two on left front are BO/Kholm Afghan, 4 are close to harvest:

The Monkey Juice by 3Thirteen Seeds are turning out really well. BO/Kholm Afghan by Swami Seeds are both loaded with wonderful smelling terpenes'. All plants were given a couple of jobes spikes and top dressing ewc. Watering included routine of plain water, water with coconut powder, and water with silica and aloe Vera powder. Fulpower added during veg.

Cautiously hopeful at the moment, mostly no bugs, although a few with white fly evidence in tent.
