Severe mite infestation

When i mentioned the number "100" i was referring to a very expensive "destroyer mite" ....its 75-100$ per 100 of them. You mentioned them too "Stethorus Punctillum "
From my reading/talking to people , none of the predetors can keep up with the mites. So getting 10k or so of them is highly recommended but supposedly the Stethorus Punctillum can eat a lot more and needs 20-40 adults a day to breed.

All that being said , my firsthand experience is a losing battle. Neem and dish soap work the best. (imo the dish soap does more then the neem, killing them on contact) Nothing can be "sprayed up until the day of harvest" or even 2 weeks out so im at a loss.....for now.....

I still have high hopes in the Stethorus Punctillum ....they are just way too expensive to test more then 100 or 2 at a time....

mite rid is just another name for neem/azamax. good stuff ,. prolly the best but cant get rid of a problem late in flower.
I agree with you bro the mites get in the buds and you can't really spray effectively after they get buds on them and then later you have to worry about bud rot and mites etc..It's a big mess. The mite rid is the most concentrated azadachtin the main ingredient in azamax/neem. Plant therapy is better for all organic if you plan on submitting lab results. Either way traditional hand sprayers do not get complete coverage and always leave a nook and cranny to hide in. And it takes time to cycle through the problem but what can ya do.

I hope your destroyers do the trick. For a buck apiece, I think they should eat honey badgers.

im gonna see what happens on this go around and go from there. i think we may have done a good job at keeping them in the harvest room this time.....we'll see within a week. If i dont find any fully invested leaves then i will forget the predetors for now but i dont wanna keep stalling .....if the lil fuckers eat good then i need to try asap.

anyone else using predetors with any luck at all ? Again: i have never seen predetors of ANY kind work on mites. i got a buddy who just had to spray his predetors with neem .....although he did say that the infested leaves are only infested on the tips instead of the base of the leaf, so maybe the good guys are doing something down there? (he got 10 or 20k of some regular predetor mites)

I just have to go on record to say I totally screwed the pooch on this grow. I should have followed guidance given to burn it all, sanitize the room & start fresh. I rotated 3 products, spraying as directed, regularly. I utilized RH increases. I would have been ahead to burn & start fresh.

mixing neem oil is never as easy as they claim but since i been mixing it right , my mites are gone. If I say they are gone in MY world then you best listen up because i am probably the biggest mite breeder on this website. In my 20+ years of growing dope , this is the very first time the mites went away. Only cause: neem oil , properly emulsified.

I used predators once. They kicked arse.... You could actually watch them do their work under the microscope. But they missed one tiny spot in the garden and the infestation started all over. I have buddy who does outdoors and spreads predator mites around the whole garden in the spring and that seems to work for him.

Before Covid, when Isopropyl Alcohol was both cheap and plentiful, I'd use ~70% Iso from the store. Killed mites and eggs - one shot, one kill and it just evaporates away.

In my experience anything you spray on the plants when they're hammered tends to just hammer them more. If you're in rockwool blocks or something similar, I had a buddy who used to just dunk the whole plant into his nute reservoir for a minute or two and that always worked for him. Drown the suckas....

I'm in love with iso sprays for mites. Works so well. But when I first used it I sprayed the hell out of the plants and was high at the time. Once I was done I almost lite a joint and thought I could have blown my room up.

I personally recommend to anybody who has mites in veg, rotate asamax, green clean (basically iso with soy) and iso soap mix for as long as you can every 3 days. It will kill them period.

Hi folks,

Thought I was having pH problems for a long time and no doubt have been making things worse trying to micromanage things, was looking using my shitty 20x magnifying loup on the leaves regularly and saw nothing - didn't think much of it.

Went out and got a 100x loupe, mites and their eggs are everywhere. I can't provide a pic of my own but the closest thing i've found on the internet is something like this

They look like death and the life is being sucked out of them faster then they can grow..

So I've given my room an extremely thorough vacuum and dusted the tops of leaves with diatomaceous earth with the hope that it'll atleast slow them down..

Firstly.. I don't think these are spider mites, I've had spider mites before and there isn't any webbing and they seem much smaller.

Would just like to know my best course of action from here -- no need to tell me that they are hard to get rid of I am fully aware of that.

Any advice welcome and appreciated.
I have had great luck, 100&, eradicating any insect with exoskeleton by spraying with slurry of diatomaceous earth(food grade), never any luck with other home remedies. I never use insecticides. I've used on plants before flowering starts. It will dirty up leaves, but they clean up and most are trimmed along way as plant matures. If you try, make sure to agitate slurry( keep shaking container while sprayingl........fantastic bug killer!
