I think I may be ready for the Tomahawk chop. I took a peek using a more powerful loupe (60X vs 40X) and I'm pretty sure I'm seeing some amber trichs. Not many but a few. Trying to just look directly on the bud itself, not the sugar leaves.
What do you think boys and girls? Here's a pic from this morning:

Maybe at least start taking the ripest top colas this weekend? I could give it a couple more days. Definitely not wanting a heavy "couchlock" effect so don't want to wait too long. My notes say I first started seeing some flowers on this plant August 4.
I wasn't planning to wash the buds at harvest but the more I read on this topic the more I think maybe I should. I'm leaning toward the lemon juice/baking soda formula followed by a second rinse bucket of plain water.

Buds are really growing fast on her but I'm thinking this isn't ready for at least a couple more weeks.
Once Tomahawk is down it looks like Orange Blossom Special will be next--which is good because that's where the bud rot started cropping up last week (seems to have stopped with the drier weather now). Copper Chem is fattening up nicely and the Cherry Wine (CBD) is coming along but not really plumping up quite like the others. Genetics?
Hoping to take Tomahawk over the holiday weekend and maybe do Orange Blossom the following weekend. But we'll see how the weather holds. Last night got down to 36. Still no hard frost right here but it's coming.
Seeing some terrific looking harvests lately here on the forum. Good work everyone.
