First i'd like to say that PTSD is not limited to combat vets like myself. Many of us have it. The worst i've ever seen are people who have been sexually traumatized. Likewise people that grew up in stressful impoverished areas naturally have it unless they have good coping skills.
In your experience, what is the best strain for PTSD? I would assume it would be mostly Sativa based but I'm not sure. I mean something that just really melts that anger away. I was puffing a nice Purple Haze from Pacific seeds but only had a few oz. This new strain isn't really doing anything for me. I have also found that working out is a must... at least stretching and a walk. If you have any issues with Anger/PTSD or anxiety please let me know what strains you find helpful.
Navy Vet - but my PTSD came from my 1st marriage
.
I've found that nearly all strains have a tolerance build-up. What absolutely destroys symptoms this week might not work at all next week.
As such, I find that having a rotation of known strain families and continued experimentation are key.
For me it's:
Kush - OG, Bubba, Hindu, Kosher, anything Kush. 2 of my bagseed strains are Kushes (according to they friend I got them from) and I have to say that after almost 2 months of smoking nothing but my own product, I have almost no tolerance to it. Kushes seem the most tolerance resistant for me.
Cookies & Cakes - Sweet strains work well, but too much and paranoia and anxiety become worse.
Blue Dream - probably the best for me, but I grow a tolerance to it very quickly.
There's others, but those are my go-to's that I'll almost always have on hand.
I stay away from Hazes & find that I have to be careful with Diesels too.
