I do not water my coco every day 1 because I don't have time and 2 because they only need it ever 2 days I water 4L every 2 days with no problem. Splitting 2L and watering twice a day would be more sufficient but the way I water has no ill effects what so ever.Yes and yes.
21C at night and 23-25 daytime. ec is 1250 and ph 5.8 i am feeding ironheads formula. plenty of air movementWhat are the temps and rh? Lights, air movement and ec ph of your feed? Show us a pic of your environment
Well forget about soil... coco is hydroponics.... your growing in water with coco as a substrate. Every 24 hours you put enough water/nutes in to push the old water out... in out in out... shake it all about!I heard a lot of people say that i don't have to worry about watering when the pots are still heavy. I am coming from soil so it just feels so wrong to water when they are still pretty heavy.
A lot of noob growers, who only have a few grows under their belts and an internet connection, like to assert themselves as experts.I heard a lot of people say that i don't have to worry about watering when the pots are still heavy. Not right now but I am pretty sure it is root rot. They are brown and mushy and they stink. Can you snap some pics of the problem roots?
Hydrogen peroxide dude. Not right now but I am pretty sure it is root rot. They are brown and mushy and they stink.
Are you growing in coco? How often do you water?Hydrogen peroxide dude.
Are you letting them drain properly, or are the holes on the bottom of the pots in direct contact with the floor? Personally I add perlite to my coco for better aeration, and I've also drilled several 1/4-inch holes in the sides of my pots.Well it is me again. I just noticed that my roots are starting to turn brown and mushy. I think I have actually overwatered them. They look super healthy tho. I stopped feeding hydroguard (i use a alternative product with the same ingredients) because i ran out of it.
I pulled the plant out of its pot to check the roots and on some plants they are pretty brown and smell fishy. I also noticed some flies (only about 3 or 4) on the coco.
I thought root rot was impossible to get using coco? I use plastic pots. My growroom is a little chilly with 23C at day and about 17C at night.
I only grew these plants to get cuttings from them to do a SOG run (cookies and cream by exotic genetics if you want to know). So I don't really worry about them dying. To prevent this from happening again I have to know what caused this. Do you guys have any ideas?
They are in plastic pots 6.5L on a growing table. I thought you just water everyday without letting them dry off. They are 24/7 soaking wet basically. Are you letting them drain properly, or are the holes on the bottom of the pots in direct contact with the floor? It sounds like the plants aren't drinking and/or pots aren't draining. Like others have suggested, use H2O2 to kill and rot in the medium. I'd give them a good flush of half-strength nutes + H2O2, and make sure they are really draining well. I never liked straight coco myself because I felt it didn't drain as well as it did once I started adding perlite, however many straight coco users will swear that straight coco is the best. Can you post whole plant pics? They are in plastic pots 6.5L on a growing table. I thought you just water everyday without letting them dry off. They are 24/7 soaking wet basically.
At this point, it's just conjecture. Can you post whole plant pics?
I water my 25 ltr pots 1 time per day til they give out 20%. Fertigation.... not watering... the water has feed in.Are you growing in coco? How often do you water?
