Just a little poll, about compost teas. Do you use them as an organic grower?

Funny thing about worms is most are good but not all. There are some worms attacking and diminishing whole echo systems right now. If its not indigenous to your location be responsible and dont dispose or let them go in a foreign environment.

Absolutly right. However that is not happening with compost worms to my knowledge.

I have, I started looking into it when I noticed that uncle Jims also sold live meal worms and I started looking into meal worm composting and they work really fast, lots on it being used in gardening, little in the cannabis world so far but I haven't dug deep.

Interesting. I had some red wigglers from jim years ago, still get his emails haha. You want the castings or the actual meal worms?

seeing some info calming a 4-3-2 NPK ratio, and or 2-1.5-1 but that ratio can change based on what they get fed so I might give it a shot haha

yeah I grabbed 2000 from him to start a worm farm so no more buying. I am interested in their poo!

After watching the huge amounts of insects break down my compost, I'm certain their dead bodies are something my plants love. My bins(tumblers) sit above ground level so its mostly flying insects for me but some ants and potato bugs and other ground dwellers make it in there too. No worms though, due to the nature of my set up. Its a tumble compost and I usually let them break down the entire summer and extract during fall. When I did have my compost on the ground I would say my fungus levels were much higher as I could see when I brewed my tea more than a few days and the results would put mushrooms in my pots.

home made is good just takes time, funny I just bought the down to earth brand insect frass, says its made from the larvae of black soldier flies=Meal worms

Meal worms make beetles, I have had farms before. My basement was not warm enough to make them efficient but I might try again.

did you run their casings in tandem with worm? is it worth adding in or pretty much the same thing going on. been seeing some places claim it has all needed micros but zero lab work to prove it...

I'm a coco chemical fert grower and started using tea 2x in the grow... it has worked wonders for both flavour and yield. Other things have gone right too.
