that stuff holds way too much waterIm a newb, 2nd grow coco screwed me up, Coco loco
THIS is why i cant understand everybody using coco as a hydro medium. Im not saying its bad at all , im just saying its not inert by no means. It holds bacteria and probably has some in it already , so i figure make the best use of itthat stuff holds way too much water

You can not over water coco with a plant that is fully rooted. You can over water coco with a plant with no root system.yea but coco loco isn't just coco...it's got castings and guano and a few other additives....holds a ton of water
but i use it more like peat in a bigger pot - water every 2 or 3 days depending on everything else - some ppl like to use it like a hydro medium and swear by it, but im not at all interested in using it like that
it always cracks me up when ppl say you can't over-water coco....you most certainly can over-water coco....that might be worse than the "you need cal-mag" fictitious tale
I may make some grammar mistakes, but im not stupid. Alot of smart people make grammar mistakes. I also was high when doing it, so ya. I didn't get on the deans list for the academic year of 2017 being stupid, and I didn't graduate with a GPA of 3.03 taking a bachelors in business management degree being stupid either.Says the guy that titled his thread “pole” when he really meant “poll”. You can’t even figure out a wet plant doesn’t need water
that school should have it’s ability to give out college diplomas revoked
You can get 5 Pounds guaranteed hydro / soil mix making kits now for sale message me for details
I have to disagree. By definition , it is hydro. It is not inert. It just dont have food in it. Add dry food and its no longer inert. Its almost identical to peat moss. By definition , peat moss is also hydro but its not inert and its not used in hydro very often.Coco is hydro and inert.
If coco is not inert, then exactly which nutrients does it provide to plants on it’s own?I have to disagree. By definition , it is hydro. It is not inert. It just dont have food in it. Add dry food and its no longer inert. Its almost identical to peat moss. By definition , peat moss is also hydro but its not inert and its not used in hydro very often.
I suppose i just have pumice and perlite in my head as inert.....but thats the true definition of inert. Does almost nothing for the plant beside stabilize and aerate the roots.
Dont coco have k in it already ? Both peat and coco can contain bacteria and most do.
