oh I believe you but I'm on the non defol team. just can't bring my self to do that much damage as it's expending so much energy to build buds. but maybe il torture just one plant...for science...

Idk if you have read my posts on other threads, but I am cloning my best plant of this grow 4x, and running 2 with a light defoliation & lollipop, and two with the shwazz technique & lollipop.
Should be a pretty fair comparison. See which side weighs more

Typically I just find other people who have already done this test, but I really cant find any decent side by sides.
I feel like if I can get a few really clean, fair side by side runs in, I can actually maybe contribute somthing useful to the community. Lol maybe I'm high

So today was my first attempt at "cold dumping". I have learned you can trick the plants into extreamly internodal spacing by somewhat significantly lowering the temperature for the first half hour or so of lights on... this has to do with the fact plants stretch less when night and day temps are close, but it goes farther if night temps are higher than day... but that takes a lot of electricity, and scientists have found similar results by only lower the temperature briefly right at the beginning of lights on.

With no AC on, and my exhaust fans running 100% its about 83°
My AC can bring the ambient room temp down to 68° pretty easy, so that should keep the tent around 75° or less once I get further into flower hopefully
I am having issues with humidity mainly, my tent won't go below 62% during the day anymore. Too much foliage. The ambient air around the tent sits around 45-50%. I ha e bought a decent dehumidifier to try and bring it down to 30%...
It will be better once I defoliate Thursday.

When I first got set up, I poured a 1g jug of water into a 5g bucket 5 times.
I made a sharpie mark.
I installed a semi clear tube on the side of my storage tank to show water level, I then filled up my water storage tank with the 5g of water. I marked a line on there and wrote "5".
Then I refilled the 5g bucket, poured it into my water storage, marked a line with the new water level, wrote "10".. and so on and so on...
It was after all this I learned you can hook up a inline water meter to measure lol

So today I hit her with the defoliation. Day 18 of 1212, could not make it to 21.
Things were crazy in here, and I was beginning to struggle to control the RH. Highs were getting close to 70%.
I'm not sure if this is considered shwazzing or not, but I did my best! This took about 2 hours to do as it is.
Now humidity is a bit too low for my VPD haha
She will recover and start transpiring heavy again soon.

Just fine, probably about half left in the tent still surprisingly.
I am considering letting go another 50 someday here but I dont want to over-do it. I'm hoping they're very hungry becuse they found no bugs on my plants? Lol
I'm not sure how long they can go without food. I have raisins in there for them

I saw on YouTube you can give them a large sponge soaked in water, raisins, other non-citrus fruits.
Plus my tent only has a few holes, and I don't open it much. So they are somewhat trapped in there. But usually when I open the tent I can see atleast 2 or 3 crawling around in the open.

Day 23 of 1212 and things are great.
Sure hope this one in the front right stops stretching sometime soon. They're all huge at 24-28" tall
But the one in the front right has an insane stretch and is towering at just about 39" tall.
@.Smoke you were not lying about the flower stretch on this GDP. How many weeks in to 1212 did she keep stretching for you?
I got some clones in stasis right now for the girl in the back right. She grew amazing in veg, no deficiencies anywhere, now she has finnished stretching more or less and is very bushy. The perfect amount of growth, I am looking forward to the next run with her.

It was almost 4 weeks before mine settled down. I'd say you're pretty close.
Going to be a nice one from the looks of it.
It's been a solid strain for me.

I got everything on three circuts. Not very specifically divided. My air pump is on the circuit with the least power consumption to be sure it doesn't trip.
