Well damn, this sure isnt convincing me to spend money on a light I really dont need.
sorry budI know these Led threads always turn into a pissing contest but would you mind starting your own thread to show pics of your grow? Thanks
No sun where you live? Hmmm....
Yea I always expect the insults to start by page 2. I just want to know opinions on boards vs strips, I really dont care if someone has a more expensive light than me or if they yield more.so good to see the LED section still thriving with great threads
well truth be told, there prob isnt enough of a difference between the 2 in quality or efficiency to matter at all. its more about personal preference and growing style.Yea I always expect the insults to start by page 2. Yea the difference seems pretty minimal which is why its hard to convince myself to spend the cash on something i dont need. New lights are always fun though.well truth be told, there prob isnt enough of a difference between the 2 in quality or efficiency to matter at all. its more about personal preference and growing style.
best of luck choosing.
Thanks for the input. Do people really hang their boards 3-4 feet above the canopy in small grows? I can understand in a commercial setup with hundreds of lights that may be necessary but I keep my boards around 24 inches.its pretty simple. if you have the ceiling height u go with boards and mount them 3-4ft away, if u dont..... u go with the strips and mount them 1-2ft from canopy.
strips are pricier than boards in general or else strips all the way
My first time with boards was good at 20-24"Thanks for the input. Do people really hang their boards 3-4 feet above the canopy in small grows? I can understand in a commercial setup with hundreds of lights that may be necessary but I keep my boards around 24 inches.
That seems to be the sweet spot for my lights too but maybe some boards are more powerful and need to higher. My first time with boards was good at 20-24"
What light are you using?Loving on the spider type leds, I really lucked out on my light. Penetration is awesome, 4x4 and hard nugs full tent, deep coverage too, qbs aim light straight down, might be wrong, but strips cover right through canopy, even corners are great, I was hps se grower, never again. As long as correct wattage per square ft is used, either is good. I can adjust bars on my light so when starting out I can focus light where I want it. They all have their place in the growroom.
Lightspeed cosmic pro 600, is made by Hydrotek. They were hid company hps^s and such. What light are you using?
1,600 for a 600 watt light is pricey but looks nice.Lightspeed cosmic pro 600, is made by Hydrotek. They were hid company hps^s and such.
I ran out of height in my room during my last run and had quite a few coals grow straight into my strip lights a few times. I’d go to check on the plants and they’d be touching the LEDs with zero signs of burn.Thats pretty incredible you can get them that close. I dont have height issues but that is impressive.
