turn off your fan all that cold airs not good for them yet.and its not like there's not enough air in there
don't we want air movement though? The fan's been blowing on them since about day 2. It's a small fan, and it doesn't do much to cool it off, but it keeps the air moving around.

They're between 4.5 & 6.5 inches now. They're growing at about 1/4" to 1/2" per day. My plan was to let them get to about 10" tall then start flowering. In the ODD chance all of them turn out to be female, I won't have room for five 3' plants, (and a baby) so I was thinking of keeping them around 2 feet.

The BF rolls his eyes whenever I talk plants. He's not crazy about this at all and 'in the interest of domestic tranquility' I don't want to get too out of hand.

yet.

I'm off to go transplant the baby.:eyesmoke:

Plant 6, the baby, somehow survived the transplant. I really didn't think it would. When I went to transplant, the soil around the root crumbled away and everything was exposed. I thought for sure it was a gonner. It's still standing, though.

A few of the plants have really light lower leaves. I've researched plant problems and everything leads to me overwatering. Would you guys/gals agree?

I'm letting the soil dry out in an attempt to correct the problem.

I'm using miracle grow because it's all I had. I know, I know.....it's against the grower's handbook guidance, but I'm broke and had to use what I had. I haven't added any nutes yet. I'm reading up on what I need, but I'm super dyslexic with numbers and I'm having a hard time understanding what I need. I've read the FAQ over and over again, but it's just not sticking. Too many numbers for my brain to understand.

The LST plant is doing okay. I really wish I hadn't bent it over because it would be the tallest if I'd left it be. It's about 8" "tall" but in the container it's currently only about 4.75".

any input is sincerely appreciated.

I'm going to be putting them into flower in about 10 days. They've been on a 24/0 schedule. Do I need to slowly lower to 12/12, via 18/6 for a few days, or can I go straight to 12/12?
I wasted two weeks doing that "gradual" junk, on my first grow, and I reccommend going straight to 12/12.

Cool to know. Thanks.

Any input on my yellowing lower leaves? Is it the Miracle Grow curse, overwatering, underwatering, or am I looking at some sort of deficiency?

Haha. Good luck with that one once they start "stinking" up the place.

I transplanted the two remaining in the smaller pots to larger ones (plant #3 & #4). Those transplants didn't go well. Because of the shape of the pots, they were really hard to get out and I'm pretty sure they're stressed. They're sagging a little and not looking happy, but I'll give them until tomorrow to pick back up before I get scared.

I've noticed plants 3, 4 & 5 are definitely different from 1 & 2. Plant 1 is the tallest. Plant 2 would have been if I didn't do LST. The undergrowth is really starting to take off on the LST plant. YAY!

Both #1 & #2 definitely are starting to look more sativa. Plants 3, 4 & 5 have thicker, stiffer leaves. They're also a darker green. I've never seen indica growing in real life other than pictures. I'm hoping these turn out to be indica because I'd really like to try them.

Plant 6, the baby, is doing fine, despite a traumatic transplant. She's getting up to 2". She still only has one set of leaves, but we're being hopeful.

Plants 3, 4 & 5 all have yellowed lower leaves. Everything I'd read said it's probably overwatering. All new growth looks fine so I'm hoping I'm right. The lower leaves are still yellowed, but it hasn't spread past them.

Plant 5 is starting to show signs of something. The outer edges of the leaves are turning lighter. I have to read up on that. Any suggestions, anyone?

and we now have calyxs on the LST plant. I swear I see hairs growing out of what will be the cola, too, although it's hard to tell with all the new growth there. They're only three weeks old.

None of the other plants have signs of preflowers, though. Plants are now between 7.5 & 8" tall. (all except the baby). I really wanted to wait until they were 10" tall before I put them into flower. I was planning to wait until they were at least 28 days old.

Now I have one that's showing preflowers and what look like little hairs. I tried to get in there with my scope, but it's not happening. My scope is 60x and I can't find the calyx in the scope. :) I see trichomes starting, though. YAY!

Question1 - will it hurt it, if it's a female and indeed in flower, to continue to veg at 24/0 for another week?

Question2 - On the flip side, would it be safe to flower the others at only 21 days old? What if they haven't reached sexual maturity yet? I've read putting them into flower before they show preflowers could cause it to go hermie. Is that true?

Hey there hun! Its good to see another girl growing! I was starting to think i was the only one on here. lol. Everything is looking great. The only thing is, it looked like you were vegging with soft white lighting correct? i would use 6500k daylight clf's for vegging and the 2700k's for flowering. It looks like those girls are ready to flower. It really depends on how big you want them and how stinky you can handle. They are going to double even triple in size when flowering. So you say you haven't flowered and they are showing signs... sounds like autoflowering to me but when i plant starts showing sex its safe to start flowering. Start the lighting at 12/12 and enjoy the show.
This is my dwc grow.

Hey back, girly girl!

turned the lights off tonight. they're officially on 12/12 as of tonight. I think I have an auto flowering strain, like you said. That'd be sweet! I was hoping the LST plant would be female. Looks like it just might be! Sha-wing!

No, but I'm an extremely experienced smoker. I had an outdoor grow last season and was bummed when it was all smoked. VA winters don't agree with growing so I had to move it indoors. Including the outdoor grow, this is my second grow.

Somehow or another I've managed to keep them alive so far. I've been lucky enough to have a green thumb for other things like tomatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon, squash, radishes, and a whole lot of flowers.

Hopefully that success will help me with this stuff.

That's awesome! Well it seems like you are doing good so far and I can't wait to see what you produce. Ya know I also just started flowering 2 days ago so our girls are about the same age!!!! hahahaha This will be interesting. One set of girls in hydro and the other in soil.... This is awesome to see. I'm definitely keeping an eye on your grow girl. Post more pics!

So they had their first 12 hours of dark last night. I swear I opened the door this morning and they were yawning. Two of the plants grew 3/4 of an inch just since yesterday.

The LST plant, plant 2, definitely looks like it has hairs in the soon to be cola. I think it might be time to repot her into a bigger pot. I'm going to wait until I know for sure it's a female before I do that. ...as well as the others. As soon as I eliminate the males, the girls are getting new pots.

Did a ph test last night. My tap water is over 8. The soil must be really low because the run off is about 6.7. That's where I want to be, right? Flushed them all with twice their pot's capacity.

The baby looks really healthy and has sprouted the second set of leaves. He/she hasn't grown any in two days, though. It's hanging steadily at 1 7/8".

Plant 3 will not get rid of her sag. He/she seems droopy. I flushed him/her yesterday, which probably didn't help if it was overwatering, but she'll dry out. I hope.

Plant 5 seems to be recuperating from whatever it was that discolored some leaves. The leaves near the bottom had discoloration around the edges. It seems to be confined to those leaves, though. That plant has really taken off over the last few days, though. It's grown 2.5" inches in 4 days.

Pictures attached.

love the grow chart! the yellowing may be nute burn. what is your feeding like? The ph could be a bit lower 6.3 but its good. Does it spike when feeding?
