Obviously they aren't cheap, that is everyone's first argument about them, but if you have the money to invest, its just that ,an investment that will pay for its self 10 fold within a year. I don't have the money to invest, that's why it is only a goal, and not a reality for now.

Well the volksgarden is best to run with about 45-50 plants not the full 80. I have talked to several people about it. The most helpful was a guy o here called omegafarmer, but I havn't seen him in a while. The idea is that you root the clones and put them right into 12/12. They will take about a week to get used to turning upside down, so if you want you can veg for a week, but you only have about 18" to work with total, so you start 12/12 quickly. Then 2 months later, since its best to use a short flowering indica with that system, you have 14-18" tall buds. I've been told that the first time you run it, before you really tune in your nutes, and triming(if you do any) that about 2.5-3 lbs is typical. Then once you figure it all out, that 4-6 lbs(depending on strain) is to be expected. They are mounted on wheels so you can roll them right through a door way and out with the plants in it if you need to. You can run a 1000w, but because the light distrobution in the system is literally purfect a 600w works just as good.

As far as the foodle, I've seen it, and it looks cool, but I don't know it seems wierd for cannabis. The volks is a bit more expensive, but it has proven results.

oh god...dont bring up omegafarmer...he is soo full of shit it just keeps pouring out of his mouth everytime he talks..every vertical/rotational grower is tired of him preaching about how everything is wrong and that ill fated tiny volksgarden is the cure for cancer.. granted they may work but show me one with bud in it....that omegafarmer talks alot of bs for a 8th grader at a computer lab but has nothing to back anything up...untill then hes a nobody in my mine of growing...he bashes everyone else saying that your doing it wrong and tou need to turn to the light..ha what a load of bs...sorry theres my rant...

I own a GI grow 240 and i can tell you thats the best Rotational garden out there.... its run to waist...dont have to worrie about mixing nutes they last for 4 to 5 days....its drip fed graviety run so every cube gets the right amount of water and plenty of O2... with those omagegardens it dunks the whole cube in the water and it wicks ...the cube is soo saturated they get drowned by the water... when i was running my Gi... i checked on it like every few days and then every 4 to 5 days...the trick is with those is get yourself a fat indica..and pack them inthere..veg for a week to get the roots big enough and flower.... but your numbers... dont add up...if your saying 50 plants in a volks and pull 2.3 to3..thats over 24 grams a plant...and then you said 4 to 6 is tipical... and that is looking at 30 to 50 grams a bud stalk... for 50 plants.... theres no way in hell thats possible..it it were..i would go out and by 8 of them right now and run them in one big ass room at a week part cyles... for that little guy your looking in the range of 1 lb maybe 2 and thats a maybe...sorry to bust your balls but to get numbers like those you need to step into the big rotationals.... heres some pics of a guy that runs 3 wheels at a time.... pcc

Well I only talked to Omegafarmer twice, he seemed like a nice enough guy, but I did get the impression that people really didn't like him from post from other people. My statements are only based off of what I've read on here, and on other sites. Part of what I liked about the volks vs the roto, is that it fits through a door way. I don't live some place where its legal or even semi-legal to grow, so an simple escape plan is on my mind. If over watering is an issue with omega, I hadn't heard about it, seems like just don't fill the res as far. But either way I like the idea of the rotational gardens. It seems highly efficient, and a very good use of space. I personally have no experiance with them, and merely would really like to get one.

Dude HBR GET IT, obviously its debatable as to how great they are, but if you use it, and decide you don't want it either, you could easily sell it! Or donate it to a good cause, wink, wink, nudge, nudge!

so with these roto, omega, volks systems are you supposed to be able to have the same yield of a larger grow area in a more compressed grow area? or a better yield of the larger area?

Off less light, and in a smaller space. If you unrolled the growth drum, into a flat garden I believe it would have a foot print about 3x what the circular system has. Your plants also stay at an optimal distance from the light(s) at all times maximizing the light usage.

By the way, thanks for those pics naturalhigh, I hadn't actually seen any of the rotary systems with weed in them. That was cool to see. I'm sure I could google it, just hadn't.
