Tell me about your Bicycle

It seems to be raining a lot now and I ride my bike to work so get caught in the rain . It’s actually quite invigorating riding in the rain and it’s so warm I don’t get cold. It’s so much easier when it’s warm rain than when it’s cold rain. I used to ride in the rain when I lived in the Paciic Northwest and had to wear all sorts of rain gear that was waterproof to keep me warm and it was a real drag! Now I am wearing ocean board shorts and surf shirt and bikini top . The only drag is the shoe part. Should I be concerned if it’s lightning out?

I’ve heard good things about the bikes from bikesdirect.com

Mostly house brands but occasionally I see them offering name brands. Decent components on the bikes for the prices though
I think its that site with all the polygon bikes. I'm specifically looking for a specialized rockhopper. I need something I can fall off a cliff with and roll away. I abuse the shit out of bicycles

I just had my mechanic put on a new chain and cassette on my Trek, feels like a brand new bike! I'm thinking of selling one of my ebikes, my mech thinks I could get a great price for it since the demand is so high...
What's the drivetrain you replaced? I keep looking at the new ones coming on todays whips, shit costs REAL money once you wear them out. If I was on anything more than 11 gears I'd be replacing my chain every 300 to 500 miles depending on the riding conditions and be sure you wouldn't see me rocking a dirty drivetrain at the start of a ride. Enjoy that new chain/cassette feel!

It is a Dimension 8 speed, 11-28t. The chain is really cool looking, one of those greyish corrosion-free numbers. They feel awesome, so smooth and quick ;)

8 speed stuff is bullet proof! That on a road bike or mtn bike? I run a 11-28 on my road bike but remember them in the triple crank days when you had a 24 tooth granny.
