Yup. A dangerous, difficult to get viable results, process.
The treatment it's self kills most of the treated plants or seed's.

Never tried it heard mostly the same and it doesnt sound very fun neither i have heard the myths if you manage to get a few to live grow em out through the generations till there no longer toxic you might get lucky and hit a very high thc polyploid mutated plant but i was never convinced that was anything more than bullshit

Hasn't happened yet and I remember the adds in the back of the first High Times that advertised it..... No, no high THC plants from this..

I have a plant that is some incredibly dank herb. It is a zombie kush crossed with a purple punch. I harvested this plant and have found a single seed. I was in the tent daily inspecting the entire plant and have never found nor seen any sign of hermaphrodite growth (I have grown several plants in the past that have hermied). I am an indoor grower and everything is controlled. I am perplexed as to how this seed came about ........I just dont have a clue how a single seed came about if the flower...... even if it was just that one bud that got pollinated by some miraculous event ...only to produced a single seed first time this has ever happened and the herb is some of the dankest I've ever had

Thank you for your input but there aren't many on this particular issue so......here I am
Here’s a good read, and probably what happened with your plant

Without pollen though? That's the question because as much as i understand there needs to be pollen for the cannabis flower to reproduce ......this is very odd and the first instance I can recall of this in my tent ........
It didn't happen without pollen. Probably a lone nanner or ball sack somewhere you didn't see. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't find a few more from that harvest.

yeah of coure with a hermie, but can a 100% female, unpollenated bud have any seeds?
Yes, I think so.
But it happens as the plant naturally starts dying off (due to light deprivation, age, being a perennial)
That is, allegedly, how some seed companies originally started creating feminized seeds-
The plants would- by a a wonderful twerk of nature- start just growing seeds in their budspace.
I just tried to duckduckgo(ddg) “seeds growing in mature cannabis” but I’m not about to research for you, haha.
Anyhoo- it aligns itself with established science regarding sinescence(sic?) and reproduction.
Segue- Notice how the fruit trees are going crazy with fruit this year?

Cannabis can produce clonal seeds, google "apomixis", no pollen required whatsoever... and this phenomenon actually occurs more & more in plants today.
Science has already uncovered several gene sequences that triggers this, and several patents are already out there involving genetically edited plants which create clonal seeds by default.
