I was there one day and asked another guy fishing, “what the fuck are there a bunch of shopping carts down there or what”. He said some story about cars being in there lol.I grew up close to the area and the story me and my friends all heard (dating back to the ‘70’s) was that those snags were mattresses. Whatever it was they were a pain to work around.
I would usually be fishing from Cache slough down to the fleet depending on the time of year of course in one of my boats chasing them dinos. Right now i’d be killing it around the power lines and into broad slough. Pretty much out in front of Sherman island. My favorite time is right now through late october fishing the incoming big tides of course.
But you gotta take a break from the boat. So that pier was one of my favorite bankin it spots.
