Spinosad..

I’ve had really good results with gnatrol. Works better than the dunks for me.
That and nematodes along with a product called gognats which is recycled broken glass that looks like perlite was my ultimate solution.
edit: and lots of yellow sticky traps to catch the adults!

Here's my 2 cents on the topic:

I recently had a fungus gnat infestation due to contaminated coco-coir. Up until this happened, I had never had a bug problem of any kind. I started with the yellow sticky traps and I had them everywhere - hanging, lying down and even on the containers. I probably averaged 10 of the large ones and 20 of the small ones in the room at a time. They were catching maybe 200 a day on average. I researched a ton. I started with Mosquito Bits. I mixed up a tea and did full waterings with it. I repeated every 10 to 12 days for an entire month. It did absolutely nothing. I know they were breeding in the containers because I could see them going in and out of the drainage holes as well as the top of the container.

I began spinosad and things started to improve quickly. But it wasn't perfect. It was clearly hurting the breeding cycle but I could not exterminate them. I decided to get very aggressive, and after 3 weeks, I achieved total extermination.

1) Full container drench with plenty of run-off using the recommended dosage.
I repeated every 5 to 6 days, for 3 weeks.

2) I washed my grow table/benches with bleach water once a week.

3) I kept rotating the sticky traps and maintained around 30 of them in the grow space.

Everyone's experience is probably different. But this was mine.

Anybody ever use this as a top soil spray for fungus gnats?, or is it just a waste of time.... I battle FG's every grow it seems. I've tried sticky traps, mosquito dunks in my mix tank (in a netted bag)... they seem to just appear out of nowhere. I rarely see one flying around, but I capture some when I lay out the sticky traps. Or maybe can I mix it in with my feed?
If the BTI is not doing the job, you sure they’re not root aphids? Have you scoped them?

I've just sprayed a neem oil solution on the surface. Simple but effective. I don't use neem anymore but sesame oil seems to work.

springtails are beneficial however too much of anything is no good
They didn't hurt anything to my knowledge. I scoped alot of my buds looking for "foreign" matter because that's what the lab looks for as well. I gather up our lab samples and put them all under the microscope looking for hair, fabric material, bugs, whatever. But yeah, I bombed the room after the last grow.

I said I have used them in the past... I have not started a dose of it this round.... so far. Looking for better solutions. It worked ok, but still had them on traps all throughout the last grow. MF'ers are relentless. I even had Springtails last grow.

Is that just a more concentrated form of BTI than the mosquito dunks?

NICE!.... I've looked at Gnatrol, and it's expensive as hell!.. This looks like a good knock down for cheap!.. thanks Tint!
I've heard good stuff about this bti, even from people who used the bits first and it didn't work. And there's Grow Generation in OK too. I have one here a couple miles away. What's crazy is I'm in a little mountain town. But there main location is down the hill in Denver. Awesome place. And you'll get a discount if you have an account. You'd get a better discount than me since you're much larger scale.

Are you maybe overwatering your plants? I'm not sure about a commercial grow, but there's no reason to be going to those lengths to get rid of gnats.
Yes, I've heard that, but I don't water until the absolutely need it, and I weigh the pots on a scale to be sure. For the past three weeks, I have waited until each plant wilted to be absolutely sure I cannot wait any longer, plus I have a fan down below blowing directly on the pots to dry them out. Hasn't made any difference.

The soil I used was totally infested, it's my fault for not letting the soil dry out and/or treating with boiling water. I also think the air pots did not help, I have always used fabric pots in the past, I think they dry better. I am going back to air pots for the next grow.

They are probably under the root crown and repopulating, may need a BTi/etc root soak to get everything treated.
The Microbe-Lift is much better than Mosquito bits or dunks tossed in. You have no idea how much is leached, or where it drains to using chunks of treated cork.
